I met one of your pilot agents at an event in Hagerstown Maryland this past weekend. He was very cordial, knowledgeable, and professional. A fine example of a professional LE pilot. Seemed like the right kinda guy for the complex and thankless job you do as an agency. A pleasure meeting you Mr. Oakley.""

Completely disrespectful. First time crossing was limited to 2 weeks due to not knowing I needed a return ticket, which is understandable. Second time crossing a year later: I come totally prepared with a return ticket, as well as a tenant agreement and doctors note to prove I will be returning to Canada. Still I was harassed and treated like a criminal as if I was trying to live in the US and take their jobs and money. I explained that I’m a student on disability and needed to return for doctors appointments and surgeries. I was met with unacceptable comments from the officer about how I “just take money from the government”. Completely ignorant and disrespectful. These officers need serious training.

For Detroit Customs officials the words please, thank you & have a nice day have fallen out of their vocabulary completely. Who trains these people? Although, why should adults need to be trained in basic courteousness & civility? Another great reflection on Americans greeting foreigners & returning cutizens. Pathetic!

If there was less than one star I would use it. Coming back to U.S. with horse we were told by trainer in Canada that we had the necessary papers to cross border to home. Arrive at tunnel on Sunday. Told by customs that they didn't know the rules and one of the men said they would call the vet. We waited and approx. 29 minutes later he said go ahead and have a good day". 1 MONTH later my friend is notified she brought horse over illegally. Man came to farm and explained to her that she needed border vet to check horse. We explained we didn't know and border officer said he was calling vet then let us through. Seems they should have known their own rules and regulations. Vet at bridge looked at horse
