Turner and Porter staff were very helpful at a sad time and would have received a five-star review. However, 10 days into this journey I discovered that they have their own" special way of dealing with obituaries. They offered to place the obit in the Toronto Star for me. This was gratefully accepted at a difficult time. My cousin

We were here for my aunt’s funeral today and were impressed by the kindness and professionalism of the whole staff. They were so organized and communicated the instructions to us at every stage. We had custom music and a screen showing photos. It was as good as these experiences can be. The chapel was attractive, too.

The staff made a very difficult time far less stressful for the funeral of our dear mom. Their attention to detail was outstanding and the staff were attentive, empathetic and thorough. Our thanks to Chad, Thiona, Michael and all the staff at the Yorke Chapel.

Just recently at a funeral on Bloor St. Staff is wonderful, BUT the washrooms are like from the 60's!! With all the money they make, you'd think by now they would have larger & more updated washrooms for the public! Only ONE stall in the ladies WC!! Really? The one downstairs looks like it's in an old house! The men's WC is a steep climb downstairs, so if your a senior then good luck on the way up! Come on, update your washrooms T.&P.!I was planning on having my mother's funeral there, but might look elsewhere as there will be too many seniors attending & will let others know!

My mother passed away over the holidays, and from when we first called Turner & Porter and spoke with Susan, to our dealings with Fiona (Funeral Director), and Matt who looked after us for the service and the cremation, we were working with extremely empathetic and professional staff throughout what was a very fraught and stressful situation. We felt nothing but cared for throughout our planning and the actual service itself. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable and understanding of our specific circumstances. Worth noting that I was referred to the Yorke Chapel location by two other friends. Highly recommend.

I was extremely disappointed by the staff here. My daughter and I met with them the day after my husband died. We asked them to ensure that the casket be closed to the public and to help us if relatives got drunk and aggressive. I paid them in full before the visitation $13,000.00. They had the casket open and when a drunk started badgering me and I insisted that the casket be closed, they refused. I had to close it and it was very traumatic for my daughter and me. We made an appointment to talk about our dissatisfaction a few weeks later and they didn’t even apologize.

Respectful, and the help you need during difficult times.Despite knowing and expecting the inevitable, when that time came, there was still so much to think about and trying to concentrate on each of them was almost impossible and a ton of stress. They helped our family arrange everything from the time of passing to the service.I couldn't have been more grateful in a time of need.
