BC College Of Optics

BC College of Optics has been the oldest school in the province for training opticians. The instructors there were very professional and teach you more than what the licensing exams required. They train you not only to pass your exams, but to become competent and contributing professionals for the optical industry.Myself and many of my peers were one of the first students to go through the PLAR assessments. If you actually worked hard in class and know your stuff, you can pass it with no problem. Just so you know, it’s normal to have to take online modules for PLAR. Once you’re done with the PLAR and NACOR exams, you can be assured that you know your stuff. I’ve hired and worked with people who’d graduated from this college as well as others, and I must say that those who are trained at BC College of Optics are by far the best opticians I’ve seen - they often are the ones who become managers, trainers, and business owners! If you want to be outstanding, go to this school and learn from the best.

BC students, be aware you won't be a license optician in 6 months. In this college you will get optician training but you have to wait for your LICENSE at least 3 years. I started my courses in September 2016 and I am able to take the NACOR exam but I still have to wait for the exam. When I started the course they said I will get my license in June 2017 and now is one and half year has been past after June 2017.
