Wellesley Community Centre

I love this place and play ping pong here all the time. I can tell leadership really cares about the people who frequent the community centre.Unfortunately, I can't say the same for some (but not all) of the recent front staff. Specifically, a lady named Annette. I've been met with apathy and even seen instances of hostility when requesting simple amenities like extra chairs for people to sit and place their belongings on, or asking to open up another room with a 2nd ping pong table for people to play in when it's extra busy.I would love to see this community center be a place where every one is treated with respect and dignity.

I can't tell u how awesome this place is. It's literally right around the corner from my apartment. IT'S FREE. I now have zero excuse to not be in tip top shape. They have an olympic size pool, a wonderful weight room with several cardio machines as well as a full sized gym and dance studio. DID I MENTION IT'S FREE???? ...I can't believe I never noticed this place before but Im so glad I did.

I love this place. I always go here for different activities, specially for pingpong. The facility is great. Staff is very friendly except very few Specially Annette. When she is around, we are really struggling to get the basic stuffs like chair to sit, standing/sitting while waiting for playing pingpong, getting 2nd pingpong table room open when it's extra busy for one table, sometime even standing in hallways.I hope she understands and be friendly and respectful with everyone.

Great, public library and great new pool

I've met a lot of great people at this place over the 7 years and most staff have been very helpful, despite having a difficult job dealing with kids and mentally challenged or homeless people.Having said that, there's a few full-time staff at the front desk who not only don't have a spirit of 'community' and hospitality that is associated with the community centre, they also have terrible attitude and treat the regular patrons with disrespect.Case in point; Annette. She treats adults like children, has a terrible attitude, has caused a great deal of anxiety among table tennis patrons.One of many examples:When I asked her for chairs (that are usually out) because there was no place for our wet jackets and belongings, first she said we don't bring chairs out because they get dirty!" then she realized that's a silly excuse and while walking to get a chair

This is a awesome community center, most programs are still free. The facility is new and well designed. The swimming pool is fantastic and deep to so be warn, as well as a separate child friendly pool. A library is also in the center and with a good gymnasium. There is also a in building daycare.

This is a great place and majority of staff are helpful. But unfortunately it is not welcoming to regular ping pong players there by one of the staff member Annette and we are left hang out in the lobby instead of using the other TT room which is available most of the time

Fun Free badminton drop in. Bummer they refuse to cap the no. of players. ALL other free centres cap theirs (Innes, Antibes, CanoeLanding, York etc.) but not this one!

The community centre is great and have a lot of activities which is amazingly. All the staff here are very friendly and cooperative. But a few people are not ver kind which is kind of bad sometimes. Annette, be friendly please and I really appreciate it!
