Kids Kottage

I desperately needed help with my 2 young daughers recently. I was soooo overwhelmed and needed a break. Kids Kottage came to the rescue and took my girls for a couple days so I could recharge and get a little break. As a single mom with no close friends or family in Edmonton, it meant the world to me to have that support. I tear up when I think about it.I was, at first, worried and reluctant to leave my kids there, but I know they were in good hands. I called to check on the girls several times and each time I was greeted with a warm voice telling me my girls were doing good.THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Humbling experience to get to tour the facility and see what good work these angels do. If you are looking to contribute to a worthy cause, Kids Kottage is the place. Helping families in need is what these people do on a daily basis and they cannot survive without the generous support of the general public.

amazing organization. community driven and helps families when they need it most. unfortunately the high turnover of staff seems to cause hiccups in care but for this issue they deal with this issue head on and with grace. I like their online wishlist, makes it easy to donate immediate needs. kudos to everything they do for our community

I needed help a week ago and I called kidskottage, there was no space available. Then the lady I spoke to later called me back and said she felt like I was really desperate for help and that she re-organized the sleeping arrangements so to create a space for my son and I almost cried on the phone. I was in soo much in need of help with the kids, and I will never thank them enough for what they did for me. An amazing place and very clean. Upon picking up my son, I could tell he had been well taken care of. Again thanks so much to all the staff at kidskottage.

i loved this place when i was younger i was never a very social kid but even then i still remember having so much fun and not wanting to leave, it felt like such a safe place. i remember the last time i went there,, i was getting to old to keep going there and my mom telling me that one day i could volunteer, definitely going to bring it up to her again to see if i can sometime soon :)

This place is amazing. I am without support, and I have nerve damage. It only took 1-2 days before they had a spot for her:) My daughter was able to spend a day with them while I was able to relax and do some resting for my sore leg. I called a few times to check on her, each time I could hear her babbling away and giggling. They never complained or said anything negative, if anything they were very comforting when I felt nervous about being away from her. I recommend this place to anyone who is in need of help!

Here I am, posting as an adult that was once a child in the care of these people. these people with hearts of gold and nerves of steel. even when my mother was at her worst, they gave her the time they needed and showed me a fantastic time. it's utterly insane the difference they made. during some of the lowest times in my mother's life, rather than me sharing in it, they helped me have memories that I still think on and treasure around 15 years later as an adult. I just wanted to thank the staff, past and present, for providing such an incredible and important service to the children and the parents.

I like the purpose they are serving. They help people who are going through personal and financial crises. I usually visit this place to donate stuff that I no longer need. I highly recommend everyone to donate their kids stuff to this place as they are non-profit and does wonderful job. I wish I can volunteer there but it’s so hard with kids and job. I am hoping to donate more and asking friends to donate at this place too.

My son likes it there because they allow him to be his own person without feeling like authority is in charge. The kids can call if they feel lonely vice versa for the parents. They do a full body check before and after for markings on your child's body. Which is a relief because no parent will have to suspect child abuse
