East Village Dry Cleaners & Alterations
I arrived at 5:30 as the store was closing, and the owner unlocked the door so that I could drop off my dry cleaning and have two pairs of pants pinned for hemming. Dry cleaning I’ve dropped off in the past has come back as scheduled and looks great. Dry cleaning for men’s dress shirts is $3.50 and a Canada Goose jacket is $35, both of which are cheaper than my previous dry cleaner downtown (by about 30%).

Prices are affordable, dry cleaning was done within a few business days and looked great.I’ve also sent in pants to get hemmed and taken in at the waist, and my request was done exactly as requested and I couldn’t even tell where the alterations were made because it was so seamless!The small business owner is kind, skilled, and a true gem in the community.

Avoid at ALL costs. The shop rarely, if ever, opens on time. Similarly, the woman in charge will arbitrarily close on various days of the week (normal operating days) leaving you unable to get our clothing as promised. If you try and follow up, voicemails will not be returned, nor will she give advance notice aside from a hand written signs in the door.Unfortunate given the proximity for East Village residents. Go elsewhere if at all possible.
