Very unprofessional as far as keeping appointment times!!!!!! Took forever to get an original date for the job, then that date was cancelled twice. Finally came after a few more calls and texts made by us. Did a half job which is fine things come up. However they were to come the following week and well that date has also passed. Now we have no future date. Was told literally we could settle the payment for the half job and call another company!!! Wow! Absolutely feel we had a small home job and we just weren't a priority financially. This is definitely unprofessional and no business should be run in this manner. As far as the first half job done yes nice people yes good job done and mess cleaned up. However is it worth the headache of missing dates and jobs not done, NO!!! Would not recommend.

We hired Kalamazoo Tree Service to trim Oak Trees on our property. James and his crew did a great job, he was professional, quick and provided good advice timing and looks of trimming, would hire him again for any other tree job!

James and his crew worked on my property for a day and a half. The first day they removed a number of dead trees and a large oak limb that was hanging over two fences. The second day they removed a large Ash in a very tight spot. Both days they neatly stacked the usable wood and removed the brush, along with two additional brush piles I had made. I was amazed at how well they cleaned up, and James was very accommodating. I will definitely call them again!

I am very satisfied with the work James and his team did removing 4 large dead trees from my property. James was on time for the initial meeting for estimating the cost, he submitted a very competitive bid and he and his team all arrived on time on the day agreed on for doing the work. They also did an excellent job of cleaning up after all the work was completed.

Kalamazoo Tree Service definitely earns my review. James & his crew did an outstanding job trimming our trees & removing a very large tree, including stump removal & cleaning up all the debris. Price was very fair & the work was done exactly as agreed with a sizable savings compared to my previous bid from another top rated tree service. They completed the job in a timely manner (in February) the coldest month of the year! James was friendly and accommodating. We will absolutely use them again in the future. Five stars all they way!!! A++

I hired Kalamazoo Tree Service to clean up limbs from a nearby tree that had cracked during the ice storm and were resting on my garage roof. From the (very quick) estimate to the day of work, James was polite and professional. The limbs were pretty high up and James was fearless about getting right up there and sawing them off. I was afraid he would accidentally drop one right onto my fence, but his rope pulley system worked great. He and the other worker worked together to drop the limb gently onto the driveway, preventing any damage. Cleanup was wonderful and I have no complaints. I’m very happy with the work and would definitely hire them again if needed!

Recently a severe storm in downtown Kalamazoo left a large dead tree leaning against my home, a tree that I was unable to safely remove myself. Of the 6+ tree services I called, only James at Kalamazoo Tree Service took my call.I should also mention, I never received return calls from any of the other businesses I contacted. Unfortunately I have found this often to be the case in Kalamazoo.Kalamazoo Tree Service was excellent to deal with. I was able to convey the problem and exactly what I sought in a solution. I felt as though Kalamazoo Tree Service respected my time and urgency, I did NOT need to repeat myself nor place follow-up calls making sure the work would be done. I had an estimate in a reasonable amount of time and they did a great job removing the tree safely from my home, with no extra effort from me.If I should ever need any future tree services Kalamazoo Tree Service will be the first and only company I will rely upon.Thank you very much.Brendan

The last two years I’ve had branches fall on my garage. James, the owner came out within 30 minutes each time and explained everything to me. He is very knowledgeable about insurance and very professional. The work was done in a timely manner and everything was cleaned up nicely. I highly recommend Kalamazoo Tree Service.

James and his crew responded to our emergency immediately-two mature cherry trees fell on our house. He was fast, effective and efficient. He performed his work with skill and was knowledgeable and experienced. We would hire him again, no doubt!

A few weeks back a severe storm went through and knocked two trees down in my back yard. My fence was crushed as well as some other damage to my home. I called Kalamazoo Tree Service to get an estimate for the tree removal. James was out the same day I called and provided a competitive estimate. James was very friendly and caring to my situation. Within no time he had both trees cut up and removed. And my yard was cleaned up to my utmost satisfaction! (The workers asked multiple times to ensure I was very satisfied with their work.) I feel James went above and beyond any expectations I would have had for the work he provided. If I ever need any tree service done in the future, James will be the first person I will call.
