Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!! I can't stress this enough. While they are in their temporary location in Place Ville Marie, STAY AWAY. Not only are they hard to find but there is nothing worth seeing for their reduced price of $10 a person. 3 rooms with screens including one room with the most boring Andy Walhol exhibit (the stationnary audition movie) I've ever seen. We were in and out of the front door within 5 minutes. We feel that we made a donation to the employee fund (4 of them with nothing to do) and that we got royally defrauded. You've been warned.

Small and cozy but substantial art pieces, bit hard to find the location

I think the main picture of the museum in Google Maps needs to be updated. As far as I could tell, this address is the location as of writing of the museum. It was difficult to find where it is. The museum was cool though in my opinion. It’s worth going to I think.

This is not a large museum by any measure. I was expecting it to be bigger because of its location in the heart of the city's entertainment district. What it lacks in size, it makes up in originality, playfulness and quirkyness. The exhibits are visually striking, engaging and well displayed. Go there only if you are willing to play along and let yourself become temporarily part of the exhibits.

A relevant selection of exhibits for contemporary art lovers. The museum shop has very high prices on books and other objects.

Small museum with interesting audiovisual expositions and paintings. Price goes down after 5:00 pm Friendly and courteous staff. I was able to enjoy the expositions all by myself.

Brillent ideas were shown in the museum. I attend in the first sunday of the month which was free for citizens to enter.

I am absolutely in love with this Museum. For many years it received Montrealers and visitors from all Canada and the world with a robust own collection of Canadian art but also with treasures from all over the globe received by generous donors. You will be amazed with Napoleon's collection, the masters from Europe or the rich Innuit sculptures. For kids and adults of all ages. Beautiful architecture, many places to sit and enjoy the visit. Amazing boutique, great cafeteria. Always available assistance from employees in both French and English. Diverse activities for kids. Seminars. Enrich content in most of the collection that provides video and extra information about artists and/or the piece of art in particular. A full day visit is never enough to see it all. You cannot say you visited Montreal if you never included this Museum in your agenda.

Right now the museum is down below, located in a different building underground. It is pretty nice, but there are only three rooms with video exhibits. It is $10 to see the exhibition and I am not sure if it was really worth it....It is definitely different and contemporary...

NOTE: The museum is under contruction!! The temporary exhibits are pretty cool but very hard to find.
