Their bread is widely available in supermarkets in the area. A good value for the quality of the loaf. Seems to keep well enough to enjoy over a few days. The crust is a bit too soft for my tastes. I prefer a hard, almost gum bleeding crust.Ah, but these shortbread cookies. They are the real deal: butter, sugar, flour. The icing bits have your daily dose of palm oil but nothing to agonize over. The cookie is smooth and soft to the bite. The bag is nicely resealable; two cookies is more than enough for me. I don’t know if these are available year round. They just showed up at home the other day. A nice treat on a rainy day. Sadly, no wood stove here!

Great bread, the garlic loaf as a garlic bread with lots of garlic butter is to die for.

We ate 3 loaves of their bread while staying at a cabin in Quadra Island. Best bread ever! Nutritious too. Only regret is we can’t get it in the US.

I'm really disappointed in the sourdough loaves. They are SO SOUR and unlike any sourdough I have ever tried. They taste like vinegar to the point that they triggered my acid reflux. I took a look at the ingredients and saw that there are 3 added acids including acetic acid (vinegar). There should be no added acids in sourdough because the starter produces its own sour flavour. I never waste food but this bread is so disgusting that I will be throwing it out immediately.

Best pretzel buns on the planet. I live out of province but make an extra stop every time I visit the island or lower mainland for some loaves and buns. Delicious and maintain their excellence even after being frozen. There are no other products I have tried like that.Please expand to more parts of the country!

The best products!Their bread is the first and only bread option for us every grocery shop. The quality and taste cannot be beaten. Simple, fresh, and understandable ingredients that never disappoint. The roasted garlic and the peasant loaves are our staples. We also love to enjoy the espresso cookies. The burger buns are simply unmatched.Portofino has a wide range of products that we are always looking to try out.

Great bread, great people. You can find their products in most groceries and a lot of restaurants. They do cakes and cookies and other things, but the real stand out are their Portuguese Buns and Cracked Black Pepper and Roast Garlic loaves. Only bread I like better is Wildfire Bakery and Cafe, but they both get five stars so... Their brioche buns don't have butter on the ingredient list, so that's a head scratcher, still good though. Oh well 5/5.

My partner and I stumbled onto the Portofino line of breads last fall and have bought nothing but since! This bread has some weight to it along with delicious flavors. Unlike “Wonder Bread”, the Portofino line is fresh, moist and tasty plus it does go moldy unlike the sterilized, preservative enhanced products out there. When you eat a sandwich made from Portofino bread you will find it tasty, satisfying and filling. We LOVE their entire line of breads and have even introduced family to it who are from the Fraser Valley. We assisted them in their search and now they are committed to this line as well. Just try it, you’ll really like it!
