We had the most awesome dining experience! The staff are super friendly and the food is delicious! Everything was reasonably priced and large portions sizes too. We especially loved the complimentary salsa and chips, it was a nice touch. We ordered the quesadillas with chicken, fish tacos, burrito pastor, and tacos with chorizo and beef, and churros for dessert. All were delicious! Try the agua fresca, horchata- it’s quite unique and very tasty! We highly recommend The Mexican House and will definitely return to try more menus items!

We sat outside on the patio. What a great view. The food was great and they had live music on Saturday night. Drinks were good. Definitely go back again.

This appears to be a very authentic Mexican restaurant. The menu had a good variety of food, including a kids menu. The food was pretty good, but not my favorite Mexican... However, that may be because I have been influenced by American (Tex-Mex) food, so if you're looking for something more authentic, this might be up your alley.The service was incredible. Fast and friendly.I would recommend it as a family-friendly designation.Although, one should note that it is attached to the bus terminal and the (rather large) patio is effectively on a busy intersection.

Great little gem in downtown Barrie. Service was a little slow but that's understandable because they were so busy.The chicken chimichangas were very good. The chicken flautus and fajitas also equally goodCouldn't decide between the chicken or beef tacos... So I got both.Highly recommend this Mexican restaurant.

Visit on Saturday, June 24, 2023 for beverages and a light meal. Mobility impaired accessible. Large inside dining area as well as an outdoor patio, all overlooking Barrie’s waterfront. Excellent live music, typically on Saturdays around 7 PM. Diner was ‘3 Tacos with beef steak’ and ‘Flautas with chicken’. Beverages were Modelo and Corona. Excellent food, wide variety of beverages, all reasonably priced. Table service may be slightly slower when restaurant is busy. Would most definitely recommend and will return.

Great service, nice view of the lake, tasty food. I got a mojito (amazing) and enchiladas. We also got the guac and chips which were so good. Plus the cost doesn’t break the bank! Can’t wait to come back!

Best enchiladas I’ve had in the GTA. Very authentic. Not to mention the rest of the food is wonderful. I’ll definitely be returning! Can’t go wrong with flavourful food, friendly service, and a casually cute environment.

Authentic Mexican food. Great location. Baked goods for purchase. Friendly staff. Perfect spot. Oh, and the margaritas and Pina coladas are top notch.

What a vibe!! This place has a very lively atmosphere at any time of the day. We were lucky we didn’t have to wait for the table, however they are always busy and have a queue waiting to dine in. Good food, excellent presentation of drinks, they however service is slow and not that great. So if you are hungry and don’t want to wait, this isn’t the right place for you.
