Classical Education Books

Not very often you find a curriculum store where can you flip through the books and different curriculum to touch and feel them and ask your kids if they like them. Plus, the owners know so much and are such a wealth of knowledge in the homeschool realm overall that this store has become my first go-to resource when I have questions of any kind! How to fit curriculum to our style, or to my child's learning preferences etc. If you're in the lower mainland, take a drive out and see this store, you will not regret it one bit. If you're online, send questions, they are very attentive and so willing to help! I can't say enough good things here!

I first discovered classical education books when they were located in Langley, I was impressed then. Now I am blown away with their Abbotsford location, they have expanded to having as many books in stock as possible. The store itself is cozy and two levels full of curriculum downstairs and literature upstairs. I have bought in store and online. I received my order in a timely manner. I love supporting a homeschooling mother, who has built the store from selling to a few friends to what it is today.

And I love that, in purchasing my curriculum from them, I am able to support a local, Canadian, family-owned business!Classical Education Books has so many great products and their prices are on par (or cheaper) than other curriculum providers.Since their recent move, it's not as easy for me to just pick up my order, but with a $10 flat shipping rate, it doesn't matter too much. With today's gas prices, I'd be spending roughly the same amount. I am looking forward to my next day trip to their area, though, so I can check out their new storefront location and browse their inventory.Speaking of inventory, if they don't have a certain book you want listed in their online store, contact them and they can usually get it for you!Not sure what curriculum choice to use? Ask! They know their products and can give amazing recommendations. :)

Classical Education Books is my dream bookstore. It has the friendliest staff, quality curriculum, and mind nourishing books for all ages. One of my favorite sections is the picture books! My kids are too old for me to splurge, but it’s the best place for getting gifts for nieces and nephews.I’m so thankful that Hester has set up shop in Abbotsford!
