Everything is good except they don't have air conditioning so it is hard to sleep.

I stayed there with my 7 yr old son. We had a great time away. They allowed us to borrow towels for flower pot island.The only issue was that we had very hot temperatures on the days we were there. Our room only had one fan and I gave it to my son so he could sleep well. We had the leave the room first thing in the morning and not return till late in the evening in order to avoid the very hot and uncomfortable temperatures in our place. When we did return, I left the door wide open to allow somewhat of a breeze to cool our space down. It probably didn't help that we were on the top floor and at the end (sun facing.)I would recommend that people book rooms on the lower level in order to avoid the uncomfortable room temperatures. Also, this would be a great place to stay in the fall!

Effortless check-in and checkout and helpful staff. Close to ferries, restaurants, the lighthouse, national parks, and even a pickleball court up the street.Just be aware this is next to the harbor, and the first ferry out to Manitoulin will blow its horn at 8:40am right next to the motel. It's a good alarm clock, depending on when you want to be awake.

Clean rooms, comfy beds, friendly staff, great location. Rooms had hairdryer, coffee maker, tea, cute and clean and new mini-fridge, lots of blankets and pillows. In the lobby there's a water cooler to refill your bottle, a microwave. In the backyard area there is a grill and patio table and chairs. We didn't use the patio because it was cold, but we made use of everything else. The location is perfect, right in front of the water, centre of the little town where all the restaurants are.

Enjoyed our stay here! Our room was clean and well maintained. Like other reviewers have said, there's no ac but there are fans available and if you open up your window you can get a nice breeze in. No need for ac.We didn't have anyone tidy up our room during our stay but I'm sure if we asked, they would have done so. The staff at the motel are friendly.Great location, you can easily walk to everything in town.

The location was good, allowing you to access the downtown / bay area and the Bruce Trail hiking trails. The room was pretty clean, but the bathroom was tired. The bed was comfortable. They use a keypad for the door entry, which is a good idea, until it doesn't work and you have to figure out how to get a key. No interaction with the staff.

The staff was exceptionally helpful.I had a couple of non hotel issues that Samantha helped me with. I felt she went out of her way to accommodate me.I would recommend this motel but keep in mind there are many single steps to maneuver to most rooms.If mobility is an issue be sure to double check on that.Very clean & lovely Area to stay inClose to everything.

Visited Tobermory in June with my boyfriend and we had a great time. Blue Bay Motel was cozy and very clean - which can sometimes be hard to find when the rooms have wood finishes. I see that someone mentioned the rooms being small, however this wasn't the case for us. The room had plenty of room including a dining table enough for 4 people and a mini kitchenette with fridge and microwave. There was also plenty of space to keep luggage. The staff were also great - gave recommendations and answered all my questions prior to our stay!

We really enjoyed this motel/hotel. I really liked their key technology and email/txt communication. You can simply go straight to your room when you arrive and check out the same without ever having to go to the reception. The view and location is great. The sun is great in the evenings and there are little areas to sit for each room. Rooms are clean and comfortable. They dont have a/c but do have a good cross breeze and also an nice Dyson remote fan. I would stay again for sure.

We stayed overnight May 27, 2023. Very clean, comfy beds. Nice to check in/out at your own convenience with a key pad. fridge, tv, good lighting, fluffy towels. Forgot our cutlery and the front desk happily gave us some plastic ones. 100% will stay there again.
