High Velocity Equipment Training

I had never run an excavator in my life when I registered for their three week course. I was a *slow* learner... but the instructors didn't give up on me and by the end of the course it all came together. Now when I run excavator at work, no one is disappointed :)The facility is great to learn in, has many different kinds of areas and ground conditions, and the in class material is super well written and presented.

I'm currently enrolled in the 12 week course & completing my 4th week now. I am absolutely loving every second of every minute of every hour of both the machine time & the in class training time!!!It has been an incredibly fun class so far & the teachers know their stuff, I have been blown away by how good the teachers are on the different pieces of equipment. It is a real treat watching the demos that the Teachers provide , & engaging to try and recreate what they have shown you. And if you start to get a bit confused the teachers will walk you through step by step on how to perfect your operating technique.I went into the course with very little to no experience in operating heavy equipment, having only operated elevated work platforms, garden tractors, & compact tractors until I got signed up with High Velocity Equipment Training College.I'm improving daily & at one point I hope to become almost as good as the teachers, I've recently mastered safety for the most part. Next two skills I need to master are perfecting my techniques & increasing my speed to be a competitive operator in the Heavy Equipment Industry. Much of that is going to be time spent on the machines, but I am also Studying in my school text book every night even just a little bit to try and help myself improve constantly.I should also mention that High Velocity Equipment Training is also the most affordable Equipment Operator Training College I could find. I could not have afforded to go to school anywhere else, and because they are a government accredited school you can get student loans to help with tuition & other expenses. That alone should be more than enough to bring in more people.Once that is paired with quality training from experienced operators on a large well laid out facility where everyone gets their own piece of equipment to train on, maintain, & honestly have a lot of fun operating then the question is when can you start???At least that was my exact question after the site tour that I took with my Dad when I was checking them out. As a current student, & as an oilfield worker who has recently clawed his way out of soul crushing poverty (Thanks Trudeau...) I would suggest that if you're looking to become a Heavy Equipment Operator, these fine people at High Velocity Equipment Training College are the people you definitely want to speak with.Hope this review helps at least one person , I wish I had contacted High Velocity Equipment Training a lot sooner. As a recent Graduate from High Velocity Equipment Training College. There are a few things you should know!The Instructors (Taylor, Alvin and Owen) are so amazing!! They are very knowledgeable and understanding! They allow you to work your machine and will give you constructive feedback. As long as you take Safety not only for yourself but for other students, the instructors and the equipment, they will help you succeed.Diane is such an amazing, friendly and considerate person! Always smiling!Just graduated the Articulated Rock Truck, not even done my Excavator Training and I have already been Hired in Fort Mac.

I just finished my 12 week program at High Velocity and I can't say enough good things about this school and the staff. They are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I have learned alot these past 12 weeks and would recommend this course to anyone interested in operating heavy equipment.

I was admitted into the 12 week training program back in April 2019. I was somewhat apprehensive not knowing what to expect, however, as soon as I entered the site I was welcomed by the staff and students and the experience was very inviting. The instructors are very knowledgeable in their teaching methods and the instruction of operating Heavy equipment. I was confused sometimes with the instructions when I did the hands on practicum but the Instructors always made sure I understood the fundamentals and the task at hand. I was very impressed with the way High Velocity has hands on seat time and classroom teaching everyday, using modern up to date equipment and teaching tools. In any event, the company I work for really needed me to help them complete an important contract. Therefore, I did not finish my last week of the training. Long story short, I recently had some free time from work due to the Pandemic and I reached out to High Velocity and they agreed to allow me back to finish my training. I am so grateful to High Velocity, after two years I have completed the training and I can now operate Heavy equipment with my company. A special thanks to Joe and Taylor for their patience and awesome teaching methods, the certificate I achieved has helped me get a raise with my company. They are giving me more opportunities with company Heavy Equipment and room for advancement.I recommend High velocity training for your training needs, I believe they are the best in the industry in so many ways.

Currently going on my last week of the 12 week program you can take here, All I can say is money well spent on this course, All the instructors are extremely knowledgeable guys, Very easy too get along with & overall amazing people (Joe,Taylor,Gerald,Alvin,Shelsi) & are very good at what they do, I came too this course having ZERO knowledge in the heavy equipment industry and I’ll be walking out confident enough too get too work. Take this in if your looking at reviews trying too choose whether or not too get into this course, Just do it!! You won’t regret it & thank you too everyone at the high velocity team! I had a blast.

I had a great time at High Velocity, the staff are all knowable and great to talk to. I enjoy the fact that they want to see students succeed, there is a student portal" where they consistently update companies looking for workers. I feel genuinely appreciated and a want for me to succeed by the teachers. I will recommend this college to anyone I know that is looking to get into a heavy equipment career."

On the 12 week program and I am thoroughly enjoying it. Instructors are very knowledgeable and easy to understand. Very professional.Glad I was able to get into this course and am very excited to start a new career in the industry thanks to all the training I am receiving.

The instructors and staff are all great, they all make sure you understand the task at hand and help you figure out your career path that fits for you. Very understanding and professional.
