Nice stop when you need your Korea/Japanese fix and drinks! Kitchen was hustling and pumped out the food fast. Prices seem decent compared to Toronto as well. Three people, three apps, three mains, a pitcher and three small sake for $150 . Atmosphere is nice and on the louder side, which is expected ! Thanks for the food and drinks

We’ve been to Izna three times so far. I really love the rustic interior and decoration. The food is very good and reasonably priced. On our first visit, we had the Gyudon and Sakedon and we split an order of Takoyaki.The portion size was massive, easily enough for two people. The second time we went, we had the Tonkotsu Ramen, the Dynamite Roll and the Spicy Salmon Roll. The third time we had the House Salad and the small Sashimi platter. Everything tasted good and fresh.My only problem with the menu is that the food you get looks quite different from the pictures that are printed on the menu. The photos on the menu are taken from random recipe websites and TripAdvisor, so you'll get the dish you ordered but it'll have very different ingredients from what you see in the photos. For example, the Tonkotsu Ramen on the menu has enokitake and tenkasu in it. Mine didn't. Instead I got menma, benishoga and a slice of naruto. Not necessarily worse, but definitely different.Same with the Sakedon. On the menu it looks like a bowl of rice with salmon roe and salmon sashimi on top. The actual dish was much bigger, had a layer of fried egg with vegetables between the rice and salmon and came with avocado, sauce and spicy mayo on top, but no salmon roe.The food is good, no question, but don't rely on the pictures when choosing your meal.To the owner: The presentation of your food is beautiful, so you should use photos of your own food on your menu instead of taking photos from other people’s websites.

I had their vegetable tempura for appetizer, then BBQ salmon don and it was absolutely delicious. Excellent portions and great service. It was my first time there and I will be back again.The atmosphere is very laid back.

My first ever Ramen!!!Love this place right with the first order!!We had never tried Ramen before and were recommended by a very close friend to try this place. Personally, I am a big fan of Japanese culture and wanted to try the cuisine except sushi.We got 3 dishes this weekend, here are the reviews and overall review of this place.Overall -The location is awesome, right at the heart of Kitchener downtown. Easily accessible. They are only open for take out right now.They lost 1 star coz they do not have accessible entrance.The overall food quality is amazing. Definitely 5/5 on the taste, preparation and freshness.The orders were served hot and the packaging was nicely done.They forgot to write name on one of the boxes and we ended up putting it in the wrong dish.Our order- we ordered 3 vegetarian dishes to start with our first order. We are sure we will be a regular here and will be ordering frequently and definitely recommending this place to all our vegetarian and non-vegetarian friends.Yaki Gyoza - 5/5 - Fried Dumplings with rice. This dish is for someone who likes dumplings which are on the sweeter side. The dumplings were well cooked, love the sauce which was sweet but not too sweet. They went well with the plain rice.Tofu Champon - 5/5 - The Veg Ramen!!! We loved it a lot. This was our first time trying Ramen. It was very well made and had great taste. We were not sure about the mixing and our friend mixed it for us. We are definitely having this again.Soy Yakisoba - 4/5 - Deep fried Tofu with Fried noodles. The Tofu very soft and fresh however, it's the Noodles which were amazing. For all those who loves eating noodles this dish is worth a shot! The one star is less since the Tofu was not spicy and they made a packaging error and did not mark one of the boxes with the name of the dish and we ended up putting that into our Ramen.As for the interior, pls see below pictures. The restaurant had amazing interiors and can't wait for them to open so that we can enjoy the food right from the kitchen.This place is definitely worth a try!!!

Highly recommend going to this place if you're in kitchener. As soon as you walk in, you experience the amazing atmosphere. The decor makes you feel like your walking into a high quality Japanese restaurant and setting your expectations high. The owners are very friendly and the staff is excellent. The quality of the food is amazing and you definitely feel like you get what you're paying for. I've been back twice and will be back many more times!

First time coming here and it was astounding! Not only is it a unique place to look at when you enter because its beautiful design but the service from the staff was incredible. We came in and they greeted us right away in a very friendly manner and sat us right away. They came and served us water immediately which was nice. The menu was amazing and hard to pick from because it all looked amazing. As soon as the food came out my mouth watered and for good reason because it was phenomenal. Absolutely amazing! Definitely coming back here and introducing my family to this wonderful restaurant

Really great donburi house in downtown Kitchener. Haven't had a meal I didn't like here yet. I really enjoy their big menu and the amount of choices you can make. Service is good, ambience is exquisite and the food is delicious.

This place is absolutely spectacular! The service is great, the food is so tasty, and the portions are HUGE! You will definitely not be disappointed! I would recommend going with a party who is willing to share, because there is too much tasty food to try! I will hurry back as soon as I can!

We stumbled upon this restaurant and it was such a great find in the area! We ordered 2 dishes and they were both spectacular. The service was great as well and made us feel like we were within a Japanese street of sorts. Would definitely recommend for a casual dinner with friends.
