Captiva Farms Horseback Riding
Friendly staff that know how to put to ease even teens that aren't into animals. The horses were healthy and well kept. Training session was about 30 minutes before we went on an hour trail. Overall, it was the highlight of our Ottawa-Gatineau trip, and Captiva Farms horse trek easily overshadowed Calypso Waterpark, canoeing and other stuff we did. Highly recommend!

Professional and simple setup. Easy to book and friendly staff. They gave a great lesson before the trail ride. They really love the horses and what they do.I enjoyed the lesson and the practice you are given to really get a good grasp on horse riding.The trail ride was a little too slow for my liking but it is quite pretty. Try not to go on on a summer afternoon as it gets very hot.You are not allowed to take anything with you on the ride, so I got quite thirsty.Overall, great experience.

Had our first trail ride in Canada yesterday with the kids. Pretty nice family activity we all loved it. Caution to those with international/dressage experience: quite some unlearning to go through :).

Wonderful experience. Lovely, gentle trail ride through fields and forest. Felt confident and safe under the instruction of the guides and both of our horses had good temperaments. Staff member took these photos for us during the orientation session.

Captiva Farms Horseback Riding
The introductory lesson is great to give a first time rider and limited experience rider basic instruction and time to get to know your assigned horse prior to gong on the trail. Rides in other parts of Canada and other countries have simply put us on a horse that has been trained to ignore the rider and simply follow the horse in front. Staff was friendly and helpful. The animals looked healthy and well treated. A very good experience.

Me and my 9y old had a great time taking a horse backriding class. Can't wait for the next class. The scenery is wonderful, too.Just a heads up, you have to book months in advance, but it's worth it.

These hard working ladies go out of their way to make sure you have a good experience. Trails are great, property is beautiful and the horses look well taken care of. Nice operation here, highly recommended!

Captiva Farms Horseback Riding
Captiva Farms was an amazing experience. If you haven't ever been horseback riding I would definitely recommend this place to be your first. The horses were really gentle and easily Tamed. Our tour guide Karin was very knowledgeable about the history of the farm and the horses. Overall I would say it was a great experience and I would definitely go back.
