Tracken Kennels Academy

So grateful we decided to take Obedience classes from Tracken Academy! Tracey is super knowledgeable with all different breeds of dogs, different temperaments and ages. It is crazy how much my dog and I learned from 8 classes. Best investment you will make for your dog no matter what age it is. We started early with our Great Dane but witnessed other older dogs in the class go from a bit uncontrollable at the first class to well behaved by the last class. Tracey is super personable and kind with every family.

Simply the BEST!!! I couldn’t recommend anybody better.We met Tracey in Sept ‘22 for Level 1 training with Copper (Cooper). Our first dog was easy while Copper has definitely been a handful for us. I was fascinated and amazed with how Tracey can handle any dogs including some reactive dogs in our pack training. I instantly knew that I could trust her with my dog more than anybody else as her knowledge and understanding of dogs is beyond anybody I know.We recently had Tracey board and train Copper for 2 1/2 weeks while we were in a family holiday. He went to her with behaviour issues and his eyes were hairless due to some allergies. She was able to get his eyes cleared up and gave him a good foundation of house manners that we were struggling with. We have a lot of work to do with him yet to do our best and keep him on the path she started. As an example, I am writing this review while he is laying calmly on the floor beside me (something he would never do before).Tracey won’t sugar coat anything and will tell you how it is and what you need to do which is the best thing possible!We will be continuing to work with Tracken Academy Kennels for more training both group and private. Caesar Millan has nothing on Tracey. Netflix, if you are reading this, give this lady a show!

I came across one of Tracey's obedience classes one day, stayed, and chatted with her afterward to inquire about my reactive GSD" and training. Eventually got him in with her for two private sessions and immediately saw results I didn't think would be possible. She also brought in her dogs as well to help with training and seeing the relationship she has with her own is very reassuring my boy is in the right hands. With the help of Tracey

Tracey blew me away when we attended her Level 1 obedience class. She definitely knows her stuff! My only regret is that I didn't sign up sooner (but then again she was in Mexico rescuing dogs lol)

We began with Tracey at Tracken Kennels in June 2021. Our female German Shepherd Mocha was a year and 3 months. She knew the basic commands, but couldn't be around other dogs without trying to attack them and couldn't focus on any of the commands if there were any distractions around (humans, dogs or new environments).My family wasn't comfortable taking her for walks because she pulled on the leash the whole time and was extremely strong. She'd run after rabbits, dogs and cats and would go missing during walks after chasing something.We started with level 1 obedience and it was a challenge. At almost every class, I was so frustrated with Mocha I'd consider quitting due to exhaustion in trying to control her.We attended every class and put in the required time between classes and by the end of the course, Mocha finished at the top of the class.We then went on to complete Levels 2 and 3.Now, all members of our family are comfortable taking her out by themselves, and we only bring along a leash for legal reasons; we don't need it anymore to control her.Tracey is also very fair. We joined level 2 late, missing 2 classes. When it came time for the assessment, she could have told us that we needed to make up the extra classes before doing the assessment, and we would have paid for them. However, she felt we were ready and told us we didn't need the extra classes, so she saved us that money.This was all before she even had the new facility!We can't thank Tracey enough.

If you need a professional who can take care of your pup while you’re away, or help addressing any issue you might have with your canine trainer - Tracey is definitely the right person. Our dog loves her as much as we do! And we are proud to be Tracken Kennels Academy members.Also the new indoor facility is just amazing - so spacious, clean and beautiful!

Tracey is an absolute Rockstar. Personally I was nervous bringing our Floki boy in as he 'was' very reactive, but WOW within the first session he was showing immediate attention and results within maybe 15 minuets tops. Tracey then brought in two of her own dogs (one at a time) and with a little prompting our boy was fine with another dog in the room towards the end of that session they were maybe walking 2ft apart!!! Skip to todays session and WOWZA I don't even think my dog came to the session with us, Tracey, I don't even think halfway through took over handling Floki while her dogs lead was also IN THE SAME HAND(pictured below)!!! I am over the moon and our boy will be attending her obedience courses!

Oakley my German Shepherd started her level 1 obedience classes with Tracken Kennels Academy when she was a baby 12 weeks old and did really well. It was me that struggled. Tracey was fantastic with Supporting me become comfortable with my new dog. I decided that we needed to continue with level 1 classes until I felt comfortable enough to move on. I was so proud of Oakley and my self when we were used by Tracey as her support in class that I now know that I can move to the next Level. Oakley also attends her great doggie daycare which is not just a place that allows the dogs to run around but has interesting things for them to do throughout their day and I have found it to be a reasonably priced to support Oakley with her energy levels as well as her socializing and interactions with other dogs. Tracken Kennels Academy also do boarding which we will be using in just over a week and I know that she will love her stay with Tracey and her great staff as they genuinely care about the dogs and the clients they help. Would recommend this place to any one with big or small dogs as well as dogs and owners that have some issues as Tracey will be able to help.

Tracey is a true professional; so passionate in her expertise of dog training, and owner training!A privilege to work with her, she most certainly has a gift with dogs.She is straight forward and makes it very clear as a owner what you need to correct what you need to do to gain your dogs trust and be able to achieve the results your wanting as a dog ownerMy favourite thing is with Tracey I feel I can ask for training advice, even after my training classes have ended.Tracey has always made herself available and happy to be of help at anytimeI have used her for private training as well as attended her public training classesAlso have used her for boardingHave never been disappointed with any type of offering she has.Her classes are structured and informative but also very funHer private training are intense and very helpful to redirecting unwanted behaviours .Not sure where I would have been with my German Shepherd without Tracey .Thank you so much Tracey
