Maple Kidz Clinic

This is not a walk-in clinic! I showed up with my sick child and they refused to see him because he didn't have a doctor there. That's the point of a walk-in!More a review of this coming up when I googled walk-in clinic. Want to make sure no one else makes the same mistake.

Be aware of hidden fees for items not covered under OHIP. Took my kid there for recommended vaccines (not covered by OHIP), and they charged me a lot more than what the value was without me knowing, and, at the end, insurance informed me when insurance refused to pay. The clinic failed to tell me the amount and the fact that I needed to pay that amount until we were there for the appointment. The actual story is a lot longer than this, and I am not going to write it here. Customer service after I brought it up to their attention (Mrs. Marbella) was not good at all.

I am surprised by some of the negative reviews for this clinic and would read those with a bucket of salt if I were you. Having visited multiple times for our newborn each appointment has been nothing short of amazing. They are always well staffed with multiple people at the front who are courteous, professional and well-organized. I have also never had to wait long or felt like appointment availability was an issue. The nurses on staff are always friendly and did an incredible job immunizing our infant. Our paediatrician Dr. Prabhu has to be the most patient, thoughtful and knowledgeable doctor my wife & I have had the pleasure of interacting with. All that to say - I would highly recommend this clinic without a second thought!

I was fortunate to get Dr. Matta as my daughter’s paediatrician. He is also my two boy cousins doctor as well. Dr. Matta is very professional. The receptionist ladies are awesome. There was only one time when my appointment got changed without my consent. I don’t know what happened. I’m overall satisfied with Maple Kidz clinic.

This one star is for Dr Ostro at this clinic. Went there for my kid’s regular checkup and waited 58 minutes from the appointment time for the Dr to come in and best part was the Dr was highly unapologetic and said it’s not one hour yet. My kid was weeping in that whole time but he didn’t even care about it. He came in and my wife said we were about to leave and with no hesitation he said ‘sure’. I don’t know where to talk about this experience or whom to tell but it was unacceptable and rude.

We are very happy with pediatric care from Dr. Prabhu. We have been consulting with Dr. Prabhu at Thornhill even before she moved her practice to Maple Kidz. She is very kind and thorough with diagnosis. Very patiently answers to all our questions. We will highly recommend Dr. Prabhu if you are in search for a pediatrician for your kids. Front office is little hard to deal with and cost you for all lab requisitions and online school forms.

We have been very happy under the care of Dr. Ostro. Recently, my older one had a fever, runny nose, and cough and we saw Dr. Zavareh for a walk in appointment. She was thorough and patient and we were able to start treatment before he got worse. The receptionists and nurses are always professional and welcoming. We are very lucky to be patients at Maple Kids Clinic!

Nurses are wonderful here, this is not a review based on them. I also think Marabella is extremely informative and listens to concerns. Are experience with are sons pediatrician Doctor Matta has been horrible. Are son has Autism and is nonverbal. We do are best at explaining his symptoms the best we can. Doctor Matta will ask us a question and we will get half way through answering it and we are interrupted countless times by him, It got to the point that at are last visit, I had to ask him if I could please finish my sentence and if he could please just listen. My husband actually said when we left we need to find a new doctor immediately. We felt like to get any referrals we had to have proof, he actually told us to take pictures of our sons skin color as the school and ourselves notice he will lose all color in his face. When the school wrote a letter with concern, we were told its not telling doctor Matta anything and its irrelevant. The focuse in those moments is not to get are phone out and snap a picture, it's making sure are son is ok. What if the lighting on the camera is off?? It's unrealistic in this case. Bottom line is if you feel anxious leaving your sons doctors office, that's a sign to find a new doctor. We also thought we were getting referred again for somthing we were still concerned about only to find out there was no referral sent. I'm actually relieved to be leaving this office. I would like to say though Doctor Merchant at this office was amazing to deal with when my son was diagnosed a few years ago with Autism. She listened and answered all are questions. She gave us so much information on Autism and steps to get everything in place we needed too. I think that is the only reason why we stayed at this office as long as we did. I would highly recommend her, this rating is not based on her eathier.UPDATE- after leaving this office and getting a new doctor, getting referrals and dealing with Sick kids. We were able to find out what are son was going through and a diagnosis. I am so grateful I left this office

I’m surprised at the negative comments. We started coming here since our baby was born. He is now 9 months old and I have always had a positive experience. We never have to wait. It is in and out within 30-40 mins- no wait times. The nurses are lovely. Dr. Matta is our paediatrician and we’ve been here for walk-in’s with different doctors too. Always have a pleasant experience and doctors are concerned. Our appointments are always given to us ahead of time and we have not had any issues.
