These guys are GREAT!! We were coming in from out of state to rent a couple of bikes - needing different types and sizes. I called several times and they arranged everything for me. Good service is everything and everyone who took care of me was awesome from answering all of my questions on no fewer than 6 phone calls, to having our bikes ready to roll when we walked through the door - answering more questions then and ensuring that our experience on the bikes would be the best fit!!Great experience!

My 16-year old son came home from Tonka Cycle last night raving about how helpful everyone was and how much he could tell the experts at Tonka cared about his bike and teaching him how to fix and take care of it. He noted how many other times he's had to replace expensive parts at other bike shops, but the Tonka crew gave him different (affordable) options and took the time to walk him through it. I've experienced this at Tonka, as well and I can't appreciate their service and approach more. Sure, they could charge an arm and a leg for something and get my business one time. But their help and service will keep us coming back for a lifetime. Thank you!!!

I typically do my own bike repairs, but anything I can't or don't want to do, I take it to Tonka Cycle. Today I discovered I had a bent derailleur hanger. Once again, it was far more practical to leverage" their special tools and expertise for this repair. They completed the work quickly and for a very reasonable price. Considering their excellent service

I took my son's park ski's here to have them center binded. The staff opened the door an hour early for me to drop off the skis. They finished the centerbinding the same day while other shops quoted me two weeks. They perfomed the appropriate testing and communincated with me. They also priced the center binding at a much lower price than other shops I talked to. In short, Tonka Cyle and Ski provided the highest quality lowest price quickest turnaround than all other shops I spoke with. While in the store I also noticed an awesome selection of high quality ski gear. I was impressed with the shop and highly reccomend it. The staff was great, price was right and service was awesome.

My favorite ski shop. After going into so many local shops and feeling snubbed for being a beginner I felt at home at Tonka. I’ve since gone back multiple times for different items and different sets of my skis. Can’t beginning to recommend enough, especially for ski boot fittings! Don’t skimp, get the inserts.

An awesome bike shop! The Twin Cities bike shop market is dominated by Erik's and Freewheel so it's great to an option that doesn't operate as part of a huge chain.From headsets to wheels and hubs multiple times Tonka has been the only shop in town that has the small parts I need in stock and for a reasonable price!!!They stock a lot of Giant bikes which I have nothing but good things to say about! They've also got other good stuff from Otso and more.
