HotSpot Parking, Transit, Taxis

Absolutely atrocious system and even worse customer service! I will in the future only be parking where I can pay to a city directly to park and not through this app to this awful company.I received a website error that said success:false

Do not buy any passes off this app, do not pay for this app, dont even look at this app if you can help it. It's not a scam exactly, but they have a buggy site which makes it very easy to accidentally purchase passes(I currently have 3 bus passes in a completely different province than I live in, which they refuse to refund), and very little info available on the terms of what you're buying and a pretty hard no refunds policy. I bought a bus pass for 30 days only to find out afterwards(this wasn't listed anywhere) that it starts from the first of the month regardless of when you buy it, so essentially I just paid $70 to have a bus pass for 6 whole days. I emailed them about it immediately, because *after* purchasing the pass they have a section where it tells you how many days it's good for, so I realized right away and contacted them, only to be shot down by some rude customer service, Georgette Soffee, who lied and said all the information was available before purchasing (It most certainly was not) and I should've made sure before I bought it, so tough luck. I had to fight with them to make them understand that the information was not in fact available before purchasing the pass, and after some back and forth, the finally agreed to refund *just* the monthly pass(so I'm stuck with the airdrie bus passes until they expire) and proceeded to basically call me stupid for not knowing their terms that they never bothered to list. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had the displeasure of being apart of, 0 out of 5 stars, I would give it negative stars if I could.

I was double charged. Tried calling customer service and was told, estimated wait time less than 1 minute". 30 minutes a later and I'm still on hold. *Edited- Spent so much time on hold

Terrible, terrible app. Can't easily buy parking, or exit out. Have to load wallet for $10 for a $5 parking! Do that for thousand users, they're holding/benefitting from those funds. That's outrageous and should be illegal. City of Pickering should discontinue using this app and get a refund for whatever they paid. Audacity to ask for donation!Zero stars!Read other reviews that we have to call customer support to get a refund?! Why do we have to do that? Refund my excess funds automatically!!!

I have used the HotSpot in multiple cities for a few years now and I have had zero issues with it and I have found it to be very useful. I especially like using it at parking metres as it saves me from worrying about whether my meter has run out by reminding me of the time remaining on my meter and allowing me to top up the meter again from wherever I am.

I find the app to be extremely user friendly. But beyond the app, I've had occasion to deal with their parking customer service for an issue I had, and I must say that I was completely satisfied with the rapidity and thoroughness of their resolution of my problem (which, to be fair, was not of their making). I'm by nature automatically suspicious of any company's claim that they put their customers first, but in the case of HotSpot, they really made a believer of me.

If I could give zero stars I would. Terrible app. I bought a parking session which I clicked the refund button for after 10 minutes, and the money did not go back into my wallet and just disappeared. I was unable to continue to park because it had cancelled my session, and I did not get my money back. I contacted Hotspot and they said it was because refunds are only available for members, and offered me a 5 dollar credit even though I paid almost 20. There is no warning indicating that you will actually not get your money back even though it says refund. Why are non-members allowed to see, let alone click the refund button, without warning that the money will disappear into thin air? Highly misleading, save your hard-earned money.Edit: Well that reply doesn’t actually solve my problem, does it? When there is a button that says refund, and you click it, and it says you will be refunded, there should be a refund. I hope you use the money stolen from me to invest in an honesty policy.

I use only for monthly parking setup by Peterborough, ON. The application takes quite a while to start up and be ready to use. I find it still challenging to do this safely while in the car so I do it at the gate. this happens going in and out. I see others do the same and this leads to a bottleneck to get into/out of the parking garage. I don't use the other features of the app. It has not made my parking easier, but more cumbersome. I cannot recommend the app. The backend of the application needs major work. Also, my 2 minute wait" is currently going on 15 minutes! As well

Absolute scam. I had to escalate chargeback disputes in order to be refunded amounts that were illegally charged from my account.Do not do business with this company.Edit: While Hotspot may have responded below, I can assure readers that their customer service was unprofessional and unwilling to address my issue. It took over 5 days of multiple emails to be issued with my refund, only as a result of disclosing my intent to launch chargeback procedures with my bank for Hotspots fraudulent activities. If you are ever in the same situation as me, use your bank and initiate a chargeback!

Horrible business , Customer service sucks I waited on the phone as i was next in line nobody answered after almost 30 mins I hung up and the day before i left a call back message to no avail. Ive gotten more tickets since giving these folks my money so I am done. Be weary of this not so effective business
