They were rude and dismissive. If you don't like doing courthouse work ..quit. its already emotional and hard for those filing and trying to understand how to file. Be a little more compassionate those who are coming in. Especially family court matters .

they will not accommodate persons with disability I've been trying to contact with a houses committee member THEIR IS NONE!! Small claims court will not assist.

Sadly, it's all about which lawyer knows which judge & how much money an abused women has got to fight! I borrowed 98,000$ & paid 3 lawyers for my simple divorce! They backstabbed me! All my contacts are surprised by my case & lawyers' strange acts of supporting DOWRY issues like Asian countries & by the way Oshawa court judges react to my case! I was affected by Dowry tortures from day 1 of my wedding since 94. I was asked to sign numerous contracts like not to attend my mother's funeral, not to associate with my family & withdrew my Canadian Visa Sponsorship Application! All these just because I didn't bring my Indian property as Dowry & many many more ! My husband cornered me to sign a Separation Document in 2010 without legal advice or other procedures.I was never allowed to read any document I sign.U may ask like the judge how come I was signing though I got a BA degree in India ?That is what is called the SITUATION which blends into abuses ! I'm good in verbal communication.But I cannot understand written English with tough words, long sentences & legal terms.Ex bought the matrimonial property mid 2010, registered on his name & I was prevented from knowing info like property tax, bills, postal mails, house documents etc.I took care of my old in laws for 15 years, gave birth to 2 children.Above all, stayed there in matrimonial property till I was kicked out midnight on 31 Dec 2015 as a homemaer! I was threatened to be killed due to my adultery & was asked to leave immediately.Yes I should have called the cops, but again it's the same SITUATION when not everyone can think ! Case conference happened in April 2017 & Judge gave an order for cross examiation to determine the Actual Date of Separation! She coild have got the date of separation, if she had seen the evidences I had to prove I was living there till 2015.They don't realize the fear, family pressure, stress, threatening, financial crisis an all time HOMEMAKER face!Cross examination DRAMA happened during when my own counsel told me that I would be arrested for adultery & convinced me to accept the UNFAIR settlement offer which included my mom's Indian property! I refused when I saw him talking for my Ex that he doesn't have anything except $200,000! My Ex is a Financial Controller for many companies making over $ 2,37,000 per year (Only now I know the numbers !)He owns a one acre lot property worth more than a million! I moved on to the 3rd lawyer who was always giving me sweet coated words & made me spend $78,000 as if I did a murder!She said she was preparing for the trial & made me spend so much.We both get into fight always & she wins at the end by saying, if u do not listen to me or believe me, I'll fire you.If u hire a 4th lawyer, it'll be a bad remark! Then she lured me to Mediation Arbitration by saying,I must respect the Mediation as the judge will think that I am not cooperative to go in peace,that it's cheaper which would cost less than $10,000, that she'll find solutions to all my needs and entitlement.I agreed AS I BELIEVED THAT MY LAWYER WOULD DO THE BEST FOR ME! I signed without reading as she said she has explained everything & it's all repeated! During Mediation my counsel flipped along with the Mediator & started giving me the pressure to agree the same old u fair settlement offer with an increase of $100,000 & was forcing me to transfer the Indian property to my children & many other shocking points ! I did not agree. My Counsel emailed me following day that I must bring a retainer of $50,000 for Arbitration as Mediation didn't click & that I have signed to go for same.I brought a motion with broken info help given by court staff.It was dismissed by a Judge who didn't even think through why I wanted to set aside the Med Arb. On top, he laid $5000 cost in favor of my Ex & his lawyer. On top,3% interest if I fail to pay ! My first lawyer trapped me with sugar coated words to sign a Interim Spousal Support Document to get taxable $2000 per month which is not enough, couldn't secure a job...WHERE IS JUSTICE ?

Civil and Estate Clerks are the best here. Just got off the phone with one and she was exceptionally accommodating and helpful. Can't say enough good things about them.
