One of Calgary’s hidden Gems.Come for the retro charm, stay for the high quality products. You can find everything from fresh produce to snacks from around the world here. Lang's has superior customer service and not to mention parking in the back!As for the reviews claiming they sell stale dated products, just check the dates! I recommend everyone give Lang’s a try. Don't come after hours.

I waited for an hour for them to open after opening time before I left. Disappointed af.

Looking for a local grocery business downtown?Try LANG'S GROCERY & CONFECTIONARY on the corner of 17 Ave & 8th Street SW. With a coffee bar, full range of fruit, veggies, dairy and cold food here you go. Also, if you are looking for a quick hot to-go meal use their microwave and off to the races!Staff is wonderful and though they are not a mainstream grocery chain, this little retro food store has what you need:)Instead of going to the big box stores, give local a chance and visit LANG'S.Tell them Michael sent you!Let's support local - Parking in the back:)

Love this store, it's very convenient for the ones living in the community looking to buy some groceries on the go.

Sweet elderly lady at the till, store could use some love but I understand its touch running a convenience store and competing with the likes of Petro, shell, co op, 7eleven so on so forth

DO NOT EVER GO HERE. I MEAN IT. I was sold 3 month expired orange juice but a tall bigger guy. I was in hospital for a week because I got some bacterial illness from it. When I was finally recovered, I went there to tell them what happens. I went to the fridge, grabbed an orange juice to show the clerk. The expiry was Oct 29, 2018. Almost 5 months old! The older Asian lady working refused to refund me for the rotten orange juice then proceeded to say it was my fault and should have checked it, I said as an expectation of a store, you should make sure nothing is going bad. She then said she had it on special. I said it doesn't matter, you can't legally sell expired food. It's bad and unhuman. She still refused my refund and told me to leave. I am now in the process of reporting this business so this doesn't continue. Don't get sick from unprofessional and greedy businesses

Store closes whenever they want not at 9pm when they advertise. Was a huge waste of a trip.
