FabZone Community Workshop
This is a fantastic maker-space - right in the middle of the Montreal's West-Island. The staff are helpful (and patient) in getting you started, while encouraging you to learn on your own. My favorite machine is the professional-grade Thunder" laser cutter

Great space with lots of cool tools (3D printers, laser cutters, woodworking tools, etc.) and very friendly staff!
