Had a good experience doing my makeup artist certification. Jenn and Maddie were incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and a pleasure to learn with. They were both friendly, patient, and willing to go above and beyond to make sure all questions were answered.I would definitely recommend this certification course for entry level and beginner artists. If you’re looking for more of an intermediate or advanced training, this course may not be suitable. The knowledge and training I received were valuable, however, as a self- taught artist, with 25 years of experience, I believe having different levels of course availability would have been a better option for someone in my position. I would recommend doing a visit to the school, and requesting a course overview to see if it meets your needs. I was also looking for more guidance on the business end of working as a new freelance artist, however this was not a major part of the curriculum. Overall, the instructors were experienced and very open to answering questions I had specifically wanted answers to. I just believe the course as a whole should be divided based on previous training, ability and knowledge of the foundations of makeup.I would also say doing the Advanced Bridal is not necessary. The book I was given was basically the same as the Makeup Certification course, with the only difference being the different cultural techniques. This could have very easily could have been rolled into the main course, and was an expensive add on. Maddie was amazing, and tailored the course to what I asked for. However, for a 2 day course, the “theory” aspect didn’t seem necessary. It basically just felt like a money grab for the advanced bridal. I was also scheduled the advanced bridal before I finished the main course. There was so much overlap. Again, just check out the school and ask a lot of questions before committing to these course, as they are very expensive.

I took my makeup course with the instructor Ramia Khouri. It was an excellent experience! Easy to communicate with and very responsive. She was prompt and professional, but most importantly she is a a highly skilled makeup artist! Would recommend without hesitation.

I am so happy I found IBI in Hamilton. From the first moment I contacted them, I have continued to be impressed by their level of professionalism and industry knowledge. The Admissions team is hands down better than any other school I researched, and is the reason I chose IBI.

I just finished the two day lash course today, and overall I had a great experience. Lauren is great, patient and open to anything you have to say, I can say she really helped me understand a lot of things I wouldn’t have been able to figure out on my own. She’s even open to sharing details about how she started lashing. I’ll definitely be taking more courses here.

I had a great time here taking the nail technician course, they are very professional and make you feel extremely comfortable. Israa was a great instructor and always made me feel confident about what and how I was doing. I am extremely grateful for that. Thank you guys very much for the wonderful experience!

I graduated from international beauty institute in April of 2022 and I have to say I had the best experience. It was all because of Chelsey! I did the advanced medi-spa therapist course and she made the whole experience fun and exiting! If your thinking about taking a course from here I would 100% recommend her! THE BEST TEACHER!!

What an incredible experience it was working with Carrie in admissions, She helped to ensure my daughter was not only making the right career choice, but the right choice in the institute. Carrie is a wealth of knowledge and demonstrates so much passion for the industry. I took the laser tattoo removal course at the hamilton campus recently. I was able to secure a training date very quickly, and feel confident with the hands on training i received. The staff is very friendly and professional.

Staff were very friendly and professional. Our lash instructor Lauren was amazing! She was very helpful in many ways including to offer her students help to start our own business. I would defiantly recommend!
