Easy trail on North side was good for family. But the main trail up the hill is for experienced and fit hikers.

Not the best" hike during or after rain. Slippery sections are abundant. East facing summit views are awesome....west are logging clear cuts"

This is a great hike for moderate to serious hikers. The view is well worth the hike and the Whiskey Jacks that land on your hand for food are adorable. (bring bird seed for the top!)

It's a super fun and beautiful hike, with different experiences for all skill levels. Enjoy a shorter hike with the kids to a beautiful lookout, our commit to the long haul, and enjoy a cider at the top! I'd definitely recommend hiking boots, or your feet are going to take a beating on the way down.

Mt. Benson Regional Park
First time on this hike up Mt. Benson and didn't realize the difficult grade of this trail.It was all good, we took our time as the ground was wet, snowy/frozen higher up.We got as far as the logging road, had lunch and headed back down.The steep terrain going down, that's slippery was hard on the knees.I don't recommend this trail hike for beginners.It's a fantastic trail for those training in fitness as it will challenge you.There was a good sized parking lot at the head of the trail with an outhouse that was pleasantly clean.Check the closing hours of the park, always let someone know where you are hiking also.

It was a difficult hike. Steep trail all the way up. Be ready with your GPS you might get lost if not familiar with the place. We lost in some of the trails by following a different trail.Having a pole would be helpful for the climb. Need to pack some rope for emergencies or just in case would be Super helpful.It was daunting or hard hike based on my experience but the scenic views at the summit is definitely worth it.I would love to go back again. I love the trail. It was fun for me and my kids. We played tag and ran going down. It was so much fun.However, we got post hiking aches but still all worth it.
