We purchased the CouleeGo in the spring and used it extensively throughout the summer camping season with complete satisfaction. We are absolutely thrilled with the performance of this unit providing a clean burning hot camp fire. It’s light weight, user friendly and produces little ash for an easy clean up. I have owned the coulee yard sear lip edition for about 8 months. I also purchased the grill & post as well as the lid. The fire pit and accessories are extremely well built and sturdy. Once you get the fire burning hot there is little to no smoke. I use the grill mostly for searing steaks or roasts and it is by far my favourite way to do this, plus it gives me an excuse to make a fire. The customer service is excellent, very friendly people.

We waited months before pulling the trigger on our Coulee Go smokeless fire pit. We had looked a numerous other competitors, including solo stoves, but we were won over by Coulee's excellent customer service and the incredible quality of the pit. I could not be happier with it...its lightweight, easy to store and great for all of your adventures. Do yourself a favour and buy one. Its the best

We were looking to buy a locally made smokeless backyard fire pit and were happy to find one made in Cochrane, Alberta, Canada. We have been very happy with our Backyard 24”. It is a great size for about 6 - 8 people to sit around. It gives off good heat, burns the wood down to ash, is well constructed and looks lovely. We also bought the fire pit cover, which we are happy we invested in as it keeps the snow and rain out and also allows us to set up our wood, and be ready for our next fire.

We are loving our new Coulee Outdoor fire pit. We purchased the 19 inch base edition and it’s working extremely well - keeping smoke to the bare minimum. We’ve been able to make it the year of the fire pit. Had friends over several times this year and looking forward to using it through the winter months as well.The smokeless fire pit is very well-built and I can see it lasting for many many years.It’s also great to support a local business.

We truly enjoy our coulee go. It’s light weight and easy to set up. The fire pit was delivered promptly and we got some beeswax strips as well! The pit works well with both firewood and hardwood pellets. We really enjoyed the roaring fire that we had going in about 20 minutes and lasted for more than 50 minutes. It was truly smokeless (except right at the end when it was about to go out) and we had a great experience. 10/10 would recommend!

Very high quality of materials and workmanship, and great to know it is made here in Canada!Customer service is also stellar. We had a small problem with heat warping along the edge. When I called them, the owner was very forthcoming and mentioned they had recently changed the design a bit (I think this was to enable use of some current and upcoming accessories) and that they realized the redesign was causing the issue. He asked for a couple of weeks to work on a resolution. Within a couple of weeks, they had sorted out the problem, and they hand delivered a new fire pit to our backyard (note we live near their location - which made this possible) and even added a free gift! The owner also provided updates throughout the process. This is the kind of old-fashioned service that is hard to find nowadays.The fire pit really is smokeless. It burns very hot and steady - probably because the design is such that it pulls in fresh combustion air. The result is a roaring fire that throws really nice light and heat. The only downside is that it does consume wood pretty quickly - just be aware of this.

This is a review for the CouleeYard 19 inch fire pit that I purchased in June 2021. During my research for a smokeless fire pit, I looked around at a couple of similar products from vendors in the US and stumbled across Coulee Outdoor when looking for something available in Canada.I had some specific requirements. Firstly, I wanted to be able to use pellets as well as firewood, as I like the option of being lazy from time to time and just lighting the thing with zero effort. Secondly, I wanted the option to potentially wrap it in brick and use it as a fire pit insert. Thirdly, I wanted something that would last. This is hopefully a buy once, cry once purchase, as it has a 10 yr guarantee and certainly seems to be made to a high quality and built to last. To this final point, I did also purchase the lid to protect it from the elements and extend longevity.Design wise the fire pit and lid are made of heavy duty stainless steel and probably weigh well over 60lbs together. The diameter is a little under 24 inches and the lip is 4.5 inches thick. The inside of the pit has a diameter a little under 19 inches and there is a steel base about 2 inches from the ground with holes in it to allow for airflow. The holes are small enough to prevent pellets from falling through. There is no ash pan below this base. However, after using it a few times, not much ash falls through, so it is not a major issue. It is hard to visualise the size of this thing on a website, but it is quite big. The 19 inch size is easily good for 4 people sitting around it and it takes quite a bit of wood to get a good smokeless fire going.Lighting it up for the first time, we decided to use pellets. There is a mark, around 2 inches up, on the inside of the fire pit which tells you far to fill with pellets. We bought a 40lb bag of hardwood pellets from the store and filled it up to the line. This used about a third of the bag for reference. I broke a fire lighter up into 3 small pieces and lit them on top of the pellets. The pellets then lit without any more effort. Within 15 mins we had a roaring fire and maybe 20 to 30 mins in, the flames were coming out 2 ft from the top. This pumps out a decent amount of heat and I had to move my chair back at one point. The sides get very hot and the top obviously gets insanely hot. Some hot ash did pass through the holes in the base and set the grass on fire below. The fire lasted about 40 mins in total then died off quite quickly. The ash stayed glowing for some time. We did add a handful of pellets, post main burn, and they did light up, but did not seem to burn as well as the ones that were added initially. I would add logs if you plan on extending the burn. The next day the grass underneath was obviously scorched, given that it caught on fire. The inner lip of the sear plate was also a tiny bit warped after first use, but not massively or noticeably so without close inspection. There hardly any ash at all under the base and I was able to scoop up the ash in the firepit itself using a dustpan and brush.The next time we used it, we used a smaller number of pellets to get the thing going, then added 4 logs. The pellets take all the effort away from lighting the logs which is really nice. The logs lit in a few minutes. The fire was then sustained for well over an hour using logs. Of course, we could have just kept adding logs and it would have kept going. When using pellets or firewood, there is next to no smoke.Overall, I am happy with the purchase and dealing with Coulee Outdoor was a pleasurable buying experience. If you are looking for something high quality and Canadian made, then would highly recommend. Hopefully, we will get many years of use out of it.
