Our experience at Phoenix Homes Design Centre was top notch! Our design associate Joe Khoury was amazing! He was very pleasant and approachable, he helped us through every step of the design process. You better go with another builder with your loved floorplan, dont rely on Phoenix to custom your floorplan. Phoenix charged different price for same upgrade for different customers. If they see you need that upgrade, they charged you more. I purchased lot 272 in pathway in Sep 2020, paid 300k in upgrade. They charged me almost $46000 plus tax when people pay only about $26000 plus tax to extend the squarefootage. I did not know the price at that time and decided to go with the extend squarefootage option because I think my house will look much better with that extension and I trusted them with the price quoted. After that I realized they only charge half as a design option (i have proof). This is absolutely rip off and my $20000 (plus tax) was stolen by builder. I sent the vice president an email to complaint and request for price correction but all he said was “i stand by the decision of my sale manager”. I am going to write reviews with pictures attached as proof in all of website, forum, google, social media etc about Phoenix. House is not built yet but i am absolutely not happy about them. On top of that, they delayed my house twice. It is about 2.5 years since the date i signed contract with them and my foundation is not even started yet. Not cool at all ! Luckily at least i am not paying rent while i am waiting for them to build my house, otherwise it’s gonna be a big mess for our family. Do not go with Phoenix, they take 3 years to finish your home. Lots of change in 3 years, you should not take the risk of waiting game and their nonsense customer service!!! I’ll add more comments about their quality when my house is built. For now, all i can say is “DO NOT TRUST THEM!” You can only see good comments in their public posts, so what the fact is? I made a review on their facebook page, they deleted my review comment and block me on facebook so that i can no longer made comment and i am sure i am not the first one they have done so. So people don’t see the ugly side of Phoenix. I’ll wait to see their quality after built and i’ll review it to everyone. DISAPPOINTED!!!

The home designs and layouts for Phoenix homes is beautiful. The design centre has lots of options to choose from and Trish is an absolute delight to work with. This is where my positive review ends.Once you buy the home, you will notice that the customer service and support for home repairs is beyond subpar. The issues noted in the PDI will not be fixed in a timely manner. Repair coordinations are unreliable and it’s clear that the company does not value the time you take off work to wait for them. The customer service is atrocious, it is clear that even from the management level, that customer experience is not something that they care about. The painters they have chosen to subcontract to is unreliable and does a really terrible job.There is not much point in escalating to the management level, as it’s clear that this company does not care beyond the sale of the home.Should you be looking at a new home from them, be careful and take heed of the negative comments. My biggest advice would be to hire your own painters. It might be faster to DIY projects than to wait for them to fix things. Expect communication with management to go south. Overall this has been a very negative experience, which is a pity as this is such an important purchase of our lives.Advice to management: learn to deal with frustrated customers with a little more tack, a little more patience and focus more on solutions rather than pushing the blame on everyone else and the industry itself. Be different, be the company that your clients can trust. I understand that some delays are beyond your control, but how you treat your customers is fully within your control and as a business you should care about how your customers are treated.

Urgent question. Please help. We found Phoenix is lying to us on many occasions. We'd need to seek opinions on what we should do.1. We have signed an amendment for changing house choice. On the signed paper, it clearly spells out 2. Administration fee of $1000 for Change of Dwelling/Model type to be provided to DCR/Phoenix Development Corporation Limited $0.00". However

Very unhappy with their sale process. Very unethical in my view. They used a real estate firm to sell one of their ready for occupancy home but they included in their counteroffer a requirement for us to sign their standard agreement within 5 days. It took us 4 days to get a copy of this standard agreement and then saw that they were changing the basic agreement reached through the offer process such as final price and closing date. I was then asked to sign it as is or the offer would be null and void. I couldn’t sign such outrageous agreement and they cancelled their counteroffer.This practice should be illegal. I was dealing with them in good faith but they certainly were not. Phoenix Homes Ottawa is just a common greedy and unethical builder.

We are really pleased with our experience in having selected Phoenix Homes to build our new home. From our initial contact with Kellie Connors in the sales office, to working with Trish Ward in the Design Centre and Lori Di Saverio at Spectrum Kitchen & Bath Design, to Site Supervisor Jim Brunton and Service Coordinator Whitney Amirault, and all of the other Phoenix Homes employees we dealt with, we were impressed with their knowledge, professionalism and care throughout the process. Despite having to overcome many obstacles brought on due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, they were able to produce a top quality home for us that exceeded our expectations. We bought a home in pathways phase I. We loved the process from beginning to end, the finishes were really nice and the pricing was bang on. I would recommend Phoenix.

This is the worst home builder you will ever come across. Not only do they have no design options that are standard and nice, everything is an unreasonable upgrade. Their upgrades are not top quality. They cannot provide a closing date. Expect your home to be delayed by 2 or more years. This home buyer will also come after your for additional costs after you finalize your package. Unqualified and unhelpful staff. This company only protect itself and wants to make money off of their clients at all costs.
