Old 'N' Gold Jewellery

My spouse and I have shopped at Old n' Gold many times, it's our go to store for jewelry or a jeweller.I recently took in a repair that didn't go quite as planned. When I went to pick up the item I ended up speaking with both Paul and Lorraine. ( think that is her name.)The promise on their website of 100% customer satisfaction is true.Not only did they make the issue right but were very courteous and apologetic. I appreciated how I was treated and ensured that I gave them the same respect.I will continue to shop there and recommend them to others. I'm grateful they have been one of the family businesses in town who were able to continue being in business during Covid.Thanks again guys!

The store itself is spacious and inviting, a surprise based on the rather lackluster exterior appearance. rather like stepping back in time to an earlier era when most jewelry stores were large and elegant.We went in to sell some gold and silver items that had surfaced after a recent move, a lot of things belonging to my mom that I no longer need. Most were unsaleable silver as plated rather than sterling, in spite of their age.We were able to sell a few jewelry items though. Hard to know if prices were fair, I guess that comes down to the overall impression of any company you interact with. Hopefully we weren't ripped off.There was an older lady at front of store ( don't have her name) who was very friendly. Other than that, there was no one else who made a memorable impression.I had a long time, absolutely wonderful jeweler back in Regina who is always there in mind, by comparison. Perhaps it's too much to expect nowadays, but he made the whole world of gems, precious metals, jewelry making...a fascinating topic. I miss that. I didn't get that friendly vibe overall from this shop but we got done what we went there for, nothing more.

First time in, was talking to a nice lady and asked about scrap silver dollars and halves to purchase for silver content, was interrupted from behind me from a gentleman who did not ask if I needed help etc., just quickly stated they don’t sell scrap because they need to charge GST and that was about it. Not impressed, seemed pretty rude to me in regards to me interested in buying scrap silver, I had no problem paying GST, but he was not interested in my inquiry anymore and shunned me off, thanks!!

We went in to exchange some gold flakes, this process was handled proficiently and we feel we got fair value. Decided to snoop at the rings as we had wanted to get a ring for me to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The style I thought I wanted, I quickly realized did not go with my existing ring. The team quickly took over and were so amazing at finding me a style that worked perfectly. I was completely overwhelmed when my idea “failed” and they rescued me. The overall experience was amazing, great prices, great staff, not pushy, goldsmith got my ring sized in a day…. All around amazing experience and I would highly recommend for your selling and acquiring of jewelry. Thanks Old’n’Gold - I will absolutely return!

I had some gold and silver pieces that I have been looking to sell recently.Taking the advice of a few of my colleagues, I attended to Old N Gold Jewellery in Victoria. I've heard plenty about places that rip you off and although I have never had the experience to sell my wares, I anticipated all sorts of issues. Upon entering the store, I was nicely greeted by the staff and directed to the back of the store where they gave my items a very careful lookover, inserted them into machines, weighed them in front of me, compared the weights and measures to a visible screen with the values clearly posted and gave me a very fair market value of my silver and gold. The gentleman behind the counter was really nice and explained the values and with some of my stuff, he indicated it wouldn't garner the value that it deserved (a diamond ring) and so I kept that. Everything else was openly and honestly valued and I left with a super good feeling about this establishment. I understand it's been in business almost 40 years and is an honest, family owned and operated business. I must say, I am VERY satisfied with the professionalism, the courtesy, the assistance and the advice of the associate. Definitely a first class operation. I'm a forever customer now and will highly recommend Old N Gold to my friends, colleagues and family. Thank you very much!

Outstanding service, and a wide selection of rings, necklaces, great prices. Busier as of late, but still one-on-one service is spot on. Head count limitations in place as of Oct. 2020, though, never had to wait.
