Pakenham 1840s General Store
We were visiting from Ottawa and found this quaint store with many surprises. You might miss it as they don't have a signboard.The sandwiches and coffee were excellent. Grab some and head over to the stone bridge with picnic benches.The indigenous art coffee mugs are pretty cool.The pies, freshly baked bread and cookies all of it looked delish.Must visit if you are in the area.

The General Store :) A real nice lady works there. It was the end of the day, I wanted to buy a small something to eat but didn't have any cash. I ordered one raspberry turnover and wanted to pay by card but the lady said It's OK

Pakenham 1840s General Store
First time visitor today, July 26, 2022. Did not even get a hello, or any greeting upon entering. Strange, being a small town business i wouldHave expected that, no other customers in the store. NO sign on the front of the business? How about a temporary one to let customers know you are there. Hope they make it, i know the pandemic has made it rough for all shops. But really disappointedAfter seeing all the good reviews.

Pakenham 1840s General Store
This newly-named Store (former owners called it the Packenham General Store) is a great place for tasty bakery goods and drinks. Our group of cyclists enjoyed the visit here today and were welcomed by the all-female staff. We were initially confused when we searched on Google maps because the listing under the old name and telephone number indicated it was closed. No mistake: they are open and thriving!

Walked in for a sandwich, left with 2 pies, 4 eclairs, rice crispy squares and a big smile. Staff are amazing and the baked goods are divine.

This quaint store is the perfect stop on your next Ottawa road trip. They have fresh sandwiches, baked good and toys that will bring you down memory lane. And if it's a nice day, you can enjoy that sandwich in Five Span Bridge Park.
