This doesn’t look like much from the outside but if you have business at the border it’s a great place to stay and eat…staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean TVs are actually quite large which is nice beds are soft and pillows great…they could use maybe a little update in the bathrooms but over all a nice night sleepThe food is great the restaurant and there is a full service bar as well…Don’t sleep on this place if you need a place to lay your head it’s a great little place

If you have business at the US-Canada border, this is a great place to stay. Customer service was great; very friendly and helpful. We traveled with a 5-month old and the lady at the reception (and running the restaurant) was super helpful in setting up the playpen. The attached restaurant is probably the only decent restaurant at a 25-25 KM distance from the border. Food was pretty decent. The motel's reception allows you to print documents if you need any for crossing the border.

What a GEM! Fantastic renovation. Lamps are the same as the Fairmont, bedding is BETTER. The luxurious bath amenities, Keurig coffee - show they are committed to high end experience in a small, hole in the wall, unassuming, sleepy town.Restaurant has a great menu and surprisingly higher quality food (with GLUTEN FREE PIZZA OPTIONS!!).

Hockey Tournament in Warner and the Sandstone Motel down in Milk River was just a quick rip up the HWY. The team stayed there and it was cheap, big rooms, cleaner then expected, fairly comfortable bed but dated and the brick walls are nothing to look at. Older TV and not much for channels. The food in the restaurant was ok but I probably wouldn't eat there again. The motel was ok and if the team was going there again, I'd be ok staying there again. Just make sure to grab what you need before getting to Milk River because there's not much there and everything is pretty expensive. If you just need a warm bed & place to crash this will defeniently do but don't expect the Ritz, you're getting what you pay for.

We (group of 24)stayed here while bicycling for CASA(Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health). We had wonderful, comfortable rooms. The restaurant prepared a delicious lasagna meal with salad. This was perfect after a long day of bicycling.

Smoky room, heat didn't work well, and noone at the desk to help solve the problem! We stayed for just one night, and I agree with the comfy beds and the quiet rooms--but the room reeked of cigarettes (supposedly was 'non smoking'). We had to launder all our clothes and have our parkas cleaned and were coughing for 2 days from the smell. Went to the desk immediately, rang the little bell, no-one was around. Checked through the hotel and couldn't find the guy who checked us in 5 minutes earlier. Came back 3 times that evening and phoned but couldn't find anyone to move us or maybe come up with an air cleaner. Then as temps went down to -15 outside, it was clear that the heating unit couldn't keep up. It would kick in and then quit--probably due to lack of maintenance on the filters so not enough air flow. It never did get above about 65 degrees F (18C) and we were cold all night. So miserable! And how can you run a hotel without anyone on duty after 5 PM??

Food is excellent here, a must stop on your way to our from Coutts, rooms are basic but very comfy and clean. Short staffed but they work hard and make it seem like more people are working here
