Avalon Apartments

Its been a great place to live as far as apartment building go. Residents are quiet and respectful. Management is on top of everything and is always working and upgrading things.Managers, Darleen and Reg and their assistant are hard working, great and very helpful.Real Star management is doing an excellent job as the property management group. They have a easy online portal to manage payments, maintenance, etc.Were glad we chose Avalon over others and plan on staying!

Our son was looking to move into an apartment in Edmonton. He looked at many places and your leasing agent Marianne McKee showed him an apartment at Avalon Apartments. She was professional, answered all of his queries, treated him like a responsible young adult and was just so pleasant. In the end, he made the decision to rent from realstar at the Avalon Apartments and for many reasons it was because of how Marianne treated him. She was excellent. When he took possession of his apartment there were glitches with your on-line payment system to put in his security deposit. He contacted your IT people and they still did not get it fixed by the time he moved up to Edmonton. When he came to sign his lease and get his apartment he had emailed Marianne and they tried again to get into your IT system to pay his deposit. Once again, it was not working and so Marianne contacted your IT staff and had them talk directly with him. Even after trying everything they could think of, your system still would not work and the IT lady told our son they would try and get it fixed sometime in the upcoming week. Of the course the issue was now with paying the deposit. It was already after 3pm and the moving truck was already at the apartment. Marianne told our son rather than having him go to the bank to certify the cheque she would allow him to move in and he could do that in the next few days as she knew he wanted to start moving things in. Marianne made his day, with that flexibility she showed him. Marianne is an exemplar of great professional conduct and if I am ever asked about rental companies to deal with in Edmonton, I will highly recommend Realstar and Marianne. She made my son's move go smoothly when for a young person it could have been very negative. Thank you to your company and Marianne. Great job!!!

We have been living here for six months now. The building and lot are very well maintained and clean. Everyone in the building seems nice and respectable. We have had a few maintenance issues, nothing serious. They were taken care of promptly.Its not a super quiet building, but very few apartment building are.Management, Darleen and Reg (at the time of this writing) are great. They were very helpful, understanding and accommodating to our situation.Real Star Manages the building and have a great online portal for managing rent payment and methods, maintenance requests, issues, etc.Were very happy on our 7th floor perch and plan to stay for a long while to come!!Thank You.

I have had a wonderful, personalized experience with Avalon so far. I just moved in, and the lady helping me has been amazing. The apartment itself is clean, modern and bright. I am very pleased with how things are proceeding.

I wish I could give the lowest and show them my disappointment from the management !Worst worst worst !Please please please do not rent with them , we rented when Covid started and we moved from Ontario now we had virtual tour for building . The tour was very professional and nice so I thought I will get the same service . But I was wrong they made my trust into them a nightmare .THE ARE FRAUD!They showed me renovated brand new apt and said this is the one they are going to rent and they gave us partially renovated when we moved in .Upon asking managers we’re not sure what to do so they arranged meeting with area manager . I requested her to lower the rent or give me the same one they showed. She was not ready to accept that they made a mistake and said if you break lease you have to pay till they find tenants .Ridiculous experience, never got what I was demonstrated.And now when we moved me need our confidential documents from mailbox they are asking me not to call the office and says they are not allowed . Blah blah blah….So unprofessional, unkind and disrespectful they are .Run away if you can . Management is worst.They don’t have a space for parking.They provide parking after 1 month they will tell you don’t park your car over their it’s under construction and they will not provide another place for parking a car.you have to park your car any way on your own risk when you can find space.They needs only rent and management service was 0% so don’t rent. If you have any problem in your apartment they will come after 10 days to fix problem.So my Humber request to Run away as soon as possible and don’t rent

The viewing and move in was smooth. John and Leanne were great with the viewing and processed my application quickly. The unit is spacious, newly renovated and at a convenient location.The nightmare began upon moving in. The tenants above me started harrassing me from the very day I moved in. This started with excessive noise until 4 am every night. At the moment, they are turning off my power at the breaker. I have asked management to secure the power box multiple times as at the moment the main box for all units is accessible to anyone who lives there.If you are from upper management and reading this, please reach out to me as I am open to discussing possible solutions.ThanksUpdate:We have decided to part ways amicably, as the issues were beyond their control. They have helped in some areas they could.

Really great property management here; Friendly, professional, personable, and willing to help. The building itself has really good residents, large apartments with upgraded flooring, fresh paint, and more; really pleased with every aspect of my experience!

Looking for a place is always difficult but I was lucky enough to meet Leanne with Avalon Apartments who was incredible and very helpful in finding me a good spot. She showed me everything I needed to know, answered my questions/concerns and introduced me to the other staff who are also very helpful. The place is clean, spacious and has tons of light that comes in. Just moved in but I look forward to staying here as the management team is very on top of things and as a renter its a great feeling!

Elaine and Dave are phenomenal managers! They are super responsive if you need anything and just lovely people to interact with in general. They make Avalon Apartments great. During this COVID-19, they are continuing to stay super diligent with cleaning and such- shows they love this place!
