Elya Doula

We hired Elya to help us with the birth of our first son, and it was a truly transformative experience in which we became parents but she also became family. I couldn’t recommend her enough, she was everything to us and really allowed us to have this awe inspiring journey to parenthood. The birth went really well despite some of the medical challenges encountered. With her at our side we found our voice and really had the birth that we dreamed and prepared for. She’s the best.

Elya is a world class doula!! She sat with me before the birth and gave me strength, confidence and reassurance about the birth and her role in going through the contractions with me. She bought anything that I mentioned had worked for me in the past to use for my birth which was so impressive!! And also because she’s constantly trying to learn new ideas and implement new strategies that work for all types of Mamas. During the laboring process she was so strong and helpful, there when I needed but also silent when I needed my space. Really the perfect balance. She got me through the hardest labor and birth and stayed after so calmly to help out with the baby etc with no rush to be anywhere else but with me as long as I need. I highly highly recommend her for any type of birth she is a sweetheart with this inner strength and intuition that i haven’t seen in many doulas.

We are so happy that we met Elya! Elya helped us a lot in preparation to one of the most important day of our lives. She was an amazing support during my pregnancy and gave me so many advises and training on how to handle the pain during labour. As well as how to go into a natural labour as I really didn’t want to be induced. And I had my labour started naturally with all the efforts. I am so glad I had her during my labour and she helped me to go through hardest part of it. Definitely recommend her service to anyone who wants to prepare and know what to do in case you give birth naturally or even under medication.

Elya was an incredible support leading up to and during the birth of my son. She was incredibly resourceful and calming during my labor. She has a relaxing and strong demeanour that really helped me during labour. What I really appreciated about Elya is as soon as you meet her you can see how passionate she is about what she does.

They say newborns need their moms but that new moms as well. In our case that motherly energy and guidance through my birth was personalised in Elya. It’s impossible to know how different things would have been without her holding our hands, minds and hearts in that delivery room, but one thing is for sure, she made everything better.Being first time parents and also facing a birth that was nothing like we planned was scary, I remember for moments even thinking I couldn’t make it, but she was there, to remind us that we could do it, to advocate for our wishes and warm us with her voice and affection all the way to the end.One of the most important things that we talked about with my husband after delivering with a doula on our team, it’s how she became an advocate for consent, it’s really easy to get overwhelmed and let things happen that you are not so sure about or even knew you didn’t want at the beginning. But Elya was there, asking the questions we couldn’t think about, explaining us the options with a more caring and human approach, giving us the chance to properly process what was going on and to make decisions without pressure and really thinking on what we wanted.We are forever thankful to have been a team of three with her.Thank you Elya

From the moment I met Elya i knew she was the right doula. She gave us all the information and knowledge of the process with all the details.
