Good location, with easy highway access, and a Vietnamese and Denny's restaurant right next door. The lady at the front desk was also very helpful. Now the bad: This hotel has seen better days. The rooms are old and dated. There are gaps at the bottom of the entrance door. Currently there are two condos being constructed on both sides of the hotel. The construction begins at 7 AM and stops at 5 PM, and it is loud. It is a quiet location otherwise.

So after a long day of driving from Edmonton and missing the last ferry of the night, i tried this place out with my boys, as i was pretty tired and really needed to rest. The room was nice and all but the place seems to have this believe that it takes 3-5 business days to return your deposit. Since it was a Thursday night, waiting a week is unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend to anyone unless you can wait for YOUR deposit money to return to you

DO NOT STAY HERE. The hotel is so poorly maintained it should be condemned. The ceiling was leaking water, the hot water tap in the shower broke, the sink kept backing up, the heater kept breaking, and the other “guests” treated us to nights of domestic disputes, child welfare seizures, and the RCMP. Half the hotel is a rental for the homeless, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, except for the issues experienced above. We ended our stay early and went elsewhere.

The only redeeming quality about this hotel is the location. Apart from the dismal, grungy atmosphere the room was in absolute disrepair. The $300 deposit is disgustingly high for such poor quality rooms. I'm going to assume it's to keep the local homeless population from renting rooms occasionally. The bathroom ceiling had a hole that dripped whenever anyone in the building ran a tap, there was a large amount of water damage. The mirrors were scratched up and the towel rack was bent. There were burn marks in the carpet from who knows what. The bed sheets were questionable and the bed was uncomfortable. You can tell the building is ancient from all the wires haphazardly run in the corners above the doors, presumably for ethernet wires. Also not to forget the sheer amount of insects inside the room. This is not a hotel, it's a downtrodden motel in dire need of repair or renovation. It has none of the services Travelodge usually has and shouldn't bear the Travelodge name.I've stayed in much nicer rooms for much cheaper and a $50 deposit to boot. The only bright and cheery photo I have uploaded is from a Travelodge nearby I ended up staying at a few days later which had cheaper rates and a deposit ⅙ of the price.

$300 deposit was demanded holding my room hostage. With my family at midnight, I had no other option. Deposit wasnt a hold on your credit card it was an actual purchase for $300. Hotel is in its last leg. Rooms, funiture were very old. TV didnt work. Shower leaked badly and the access card was revoked without notice in the middle of my stay. Had to reinstate it. If you spoke to the manager, you would instantly regret it. I fell for the wyndham name and the staged pictures. But in real its a used up motel with an absurd manager, please do a favor and look elsewhere. Room was clean and all reception staff were kind and helpful

I booked a pet friendly room with king size bed previous to my arrival. I paid over $200 for one night. When I arrived I was told there were no pet friendly rooms left available…what am I to do with my dog? After a small argument I was told there was a room I could use…you could not pay me to stay there again…There was a large hole in the ceiling near the bed which had exposed pipes and who knows what, the shower(no tub) was in horrible shape with missing tiles and mold, and the most uncomfortable queen bed (not king which I paid for) I’ve ever slept on. I was never offered any kind of discount or apology for that matter. Treated very rudely by the lady at the desk, even after I explained we were there for medical reasons and my husband has compromised immune system. We would have been better off sleeping in the car in all honesty, glad it was only one night. Would absolutely not recommend this hotel. If I could I would post the pics I took.

DO NOT STAY HERE.Got into my room and it smelled so disgusting. I’ve stayed in a few not so great run down hotels but this was my worst experience. The floors were dirty, the ac unit was nasty, but the smell made it unliveable. They couldn’t offer me another room, or a refund, money off or a manager 0/10 for customer service. Had to pay for a week there and then go find another hotel.Don’t let reviews, photos and good location fool you the way they fooled me.

Hotel has seen better days, one of the old run down buildings left in an area where everything is being replaced. The walls are thin and the decor is very dated. However despite the room looking aged I was very impressed with how clean my room was, bed was comfy.Considering the great location, my last minute booking, cheap rate (100 a night over weekend) and the fact a was only there to sleep and didn't spend much time at the hotel, I would say I was satisfied with my stay

We were moving to Vancouver Island and on our way there, we stayed at this Travelodge for one night. The whole place looks like Bates motel! It was very run down, not well kept. Our room had new flooring, but everything else was old. The bathroom was a horror: there is no water pressure for the shower at all, the hot water for the room was on and off. And the shower room door does not even close. The hair dryer is broken. The price was not worth the stay for sure. You can def find something better.Stay away from this place!

The location is great as we are heading out to the ferry terminal directly from here and it has pet friendly rooms, which is why I gave it 2 stars. Those are the only positives.I called in early to ask about parking for our uhaul and trailer was told there was no problem. When we arrived there was no space and had to circle around (not easy with a 51 foot unit) and ended up having to park up against the restaurant right at the driveway.Had to pay an extra $30 a night above the posted rate online for the pet friendly and no way to book pet friendly online. Also had to pay a $300 deposit, which will be returned, but the room isn't worth $300.When we got to the room there was a hole in the ceiling and the shower was awful. At check in I was told the shower didn't drain well, which ended up being alright because there is no way we were using the shower. The boyfriend worked 15 years in an underground coal mine and still wouldn't use the shower here. Which is saying something as we spent 12 hours driving and it was the one thing he wanted more than the sleep. The security latch on the door was broken so had to rely on the installed door lock and no additional security option. It was nice to have a ground floor room but we won't be staying here again.
