Mr. Lube + Tires in Walmart

FINAL UPDATE - DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! We have had further problems with the service. Approximately two weeks after the oil change the oil light in the car flashed. My husband checked and we were practically out of oil. I called the manager and brought the car back in to have the oil topped up and he did a quick inspection. He said that we were burning oil somewhere. THIS IS A LIE. We have been monitoring the oil and there is no issue. He was just trying to cover up the fact that his employee did not properly fill the oil during the change. We were previously offered a free oil change and tire change after the issues we had mentioned below and we will not be using them. We have no faith in the honesty and reliability of this franchise.Update - I have now talked to the new manager at the location and he assures me that things have been changing and this kind of activity will not be happening again. I feel much better after speaking with him.Terrible and dangerous service. They upsold the oil change without consulting me beforehand and used the wrong lug nuts for the tire change after I clearly told the associate that the winter tires had different ones. I will never go back and warn others against them.

I would love to be able to write a review of their service. However, I cannot, due to the gross incompetence of the management who run this location. They deserve 0 stars. I will detail what I mean.I arrived at the location at 8:15am Saturday November 19th. I had already been to another Mr Lube location and the wait was going to be the entire day. I was very happy to see the posted time of 9am opening. I was the only car in the parking lot. I was a little confused by the fact that some signage said 9am and some said 8am, however. 9 rolls around, a small crowd has gathered inside the store (after having to go around the building as the doors were locked). No sign of any staff. At about 9:15 we're informed by the Walmart store manager that their posted opening times are wrong, they actually open at 10. That's an annoyance, since by then I'll have been waiting almost 2 hours. But, I'm there. So might as well wait some more.10am comes and goes with no sign of any Mr Lube staff. Calling the store line is useless, it simply rings the desk. Walmart staff, through no fault of their own, can't help. Mr Lube just rents the space. There's no answer at the Mr Lube Corporate #, no surprise for a Saturday morning.Finally at about 10:15 a man in a mr lube sweater comes up to the now very agitated group, and mumbles that the location will not be opening today. The staff member scheduled to work was in, apparently, some sort of accident and was unable to come. I can't fault that, accidents happen.HOWEVER. This is where the gross incompetence and lack of caring of the store management comes into play.This is November. In Ontario. This is tire changing season, very likely (backed up by lineups at other locations!) the busiest or second busiest weekend of the year. Any idiot with a calendar knows that.What kind of a MORON only has a SINGLE PERSON on the work schedule for that kind of situation? With ZERO accountability? There was barely an apology, no mention whatsoever of any compensation for the inconvenience suffered. Just. Sorry. Go away and try again another day. I know these locations are run by franchises, but if I were in Corporate, I'd be seriously embarrassed by the way this location was being run and representing our company name.For comparison, the next morning I went to the location at 9699 Yonge Street. The store was scheduled to open at 9, but the staff began to arrive at 8 to set up for their busy day. There was probably almost a dozen of them, and they were slammed, but friendly and all smiles. They had me in and out before 11am. The picture of efficiency. This location could take some lessons from their counterparts.I won't be risking giving them a 2nd chance.

Showed up within business hours, with no appointment, for a tire change as advertised. Entrance door was locked with instructions to call a phone number displayed on the notice for service. Called phone number several times with no answers and no option to leave a voicemail as their voicemail was full and unable to accept any more voicemails. After waking to the front of the Walmart and making my way back to the front desk, found nobody at the front desk, the door to the work area was prompt open with no signs of work going on inside. Found 1 other frustrated customer who expressed their frustration due to having same experience as me. After 30 minutes of waiting and trying to figure out how to get a hold of someone, finally a worker made his way out of the work area to the front desk just to advise me that they don’t do off rim tire changes. This is not a “quick and easy no appointment walk ins location” as advertised.Horrible communication, horrible service, horrible attitude with not even an apology.

The main door is locked by Walmart so you have to go all the way around to the main entrance. Was poorly staffed and I had to stick my head in the back to get anyone's attention. Unable to change the tires on my Tesla 3.

Came here on Sunday at 10:45 am for an oil change. Only one technician/worker was seen. We've been told that it was first come, first serve therefore, he was already booked for the day (he mentioned he had 3 or 4 cars). We asked if he was the only person working which he explained on that day - yes since people scheduled all were sick. Before coming to this location, I read a previous review entered 6 months ago of the same concern...only one person working on a Sunday! It is clear they haven't worked on that concern with lack of staff on Sundays. Also..they open at 10 AM on Sundays..we came 45 minutes later and already booked? I'm not so sure.We use to go to Mr.Lube location in Richmond hill attached to the Walmart for oil changes. Those 2 guys were fantastic!! Friendly and speedy service. No issues with taking our car even 1 hour before *closing* time. Maybe reach out to these staff to help out in this location?

The manager was extremely friendly and helpful in explaining the oil package I needed without overselling me. This location is great because you drop your car to be serviced while shopping. I liked receiving a phone call once the car was ready. I would recommend this location to anyone.

I wanted to let the public know about the great service I received at this Mr. Lube. I was greeted and taken care of by representative Giovanni - he was the most friendly, professional and helped me out right away.I had made a mistake changing my own winter tires.. and he provided me assistance and let me know what I had done wrong. For employees who are willing to go the extra mile, like Giovanni did with me, I will definitely be coming back.I really appreciate the good service and a smile. Something so simple and overlooked these days.. glad there are still businesses(and employees like Giovanni) who put an emphasis in this. The best marketing you can ever get is people who will vouch for your service, manners and professionalism.Hope this location continues to thrive.All the best :)

Good and fast service if you want to do simple things like tire change or oil change. The only problem I found was the team there was not very technical so you might not be able to resolve all of your problems related to Tire and oil.

Feb 24 13:48, I went to this location and Arash helped me for the Oil Change. It was a BAU day for me and I did not expect anything other than 1 hour service. I have mindset this is the go-to location as not all staff has the same capability and professionalism even though they got trained by same standard. Undoubtedly, when I about to check out, Arash was able to identify my vehicle deterioration and service due of my transmission oil and other related mechanical issues, and pointed out the proper timeline and remediations. I would highly appraise his professionalism given his attention to detail. He made my visit more than satisfactory, and I felt comfort for my vehicle being properly checked.Management, hope you could see my post and my honest feedback could add proven point that Arash is your great asset.Cheers,Chris

Unfortunately I can't give this location a review as I went on a Sunday , and there was 1 tech only working . We were told would be over 1 and half hours wait if we wanted it done. The fact that it is a weekend and 1 worker is incredibly sad . Perhaps they don't want the business and save the free windshield wipers, I can't guess. We definitely won't come back , will head to Jiffy Lube . Fyi read the signs I posted , as it's quite confusing.
