Hertz Car Rental - Ottawa International Airport

I rented a vehicle for Ottawa airport in July 2021, just got an email from a collection agency regarding a speeding ticket I had received on Feb 25/2022.Hertz made Zero effort to contact me to let me know i had this .. It would have been paid immediately. Now the ticket is almost double what it started out at. I called Hertz yesterday and asked to speak to a manager and was told we don't take messages for our manager" ? What does that mean..I will be filling a formal complaint with Hertz Canada

Best experience ever! I needed a specific car and the staff both at York street and the airport and the staff (especially selina and Lena (?) ) were amazing in tracking it down and notifying me that it was available! All of this during an extremely hectic day! They went above and beyond. Thank you so much!

I’ve used Hertz throughout all my trips across North America and most of them have been extremely positive. However, the hertz staff at the Ottawa Airport gave me the worst customer experience ever. Never have I seen such unprofessional and rude behaviour from a staff. I’m a Gold member and have been a loyal customer of the brand for a decade. Now, I would happily spend more money with a competitor that appreciates their customers

I was served on phone and in person pick up and drop off by three people. They were amazing, very helpful and accommodating. They patiently answered all my questions and were extremely helpful. I think their names were Emily, Catherine and Sarah. I was extremely impressed with their service and friendliness. Will book my next rental there.

Scam DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. Charged Multiple admin fees (6 x 8.50) for tolls through a different company called Surgenor - and even charged my credit card 2 months later for a random charge they could not explain. I had to freeze their access to my card. Criminals. If I could give no stars I would. Wish I read reviews first.

Arrived into Ottawa for a 3 day stay but my flight arrived an hour late, my 1st appointment of the day was 30 mins away (I was completely booked with appointments and meetings all day). I went to Hertz to pick up my reserved car, got into the car and the smell just hit me like a ton of bricks. Someone had smoked cigarettes and weed in the car, it was so heavy it burned my eyes and nose. Upon picking up the car I drove to the front desk and told them about the smell, they offered to replace it with another car...I had 15mins to get to my appointment so there was no time. I finally had time the next day to exchange the car. But really, why in hell would they even put that smelly car on the lot to rent with such a bad smell.The inconvenience of having to drive back to exchange it and suffer through the smell, it was unprofessional on their part.
