Hui Anita K Dr

I have had several appointments at this location and it was always and excellent experience. Dr Hui is an amazing surgeon and has a very compassionate bedside manor. If anyone is debating having surgery by this Dr do not second guess yourself. I have been nothing but pleased with the results. Thank you Dr Hui!

Met Dr. Hui for the first time today. Her directness and sense of humour caught me off guard. Appointment was over before I could effectively deploy counter measures. Knows her stuff.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hui's for many years and through several surgeries for my polyps and other sinus/nasal issues. I have always found her to be personable, professional, knowledgeable, understanding and caring. I would recommend her to anyone and look forward to further treatment from her.

I am very disappinted with my appointment with Dr. Hui (ear, nose & throat). I expected a step in the right direction, not another doctor that just wants to prescribe more medication. After waiting over a year to get in with this doctor, my appointment lasted 15 minutes. I wasn’t able to explain even half of my symptoms & I don’t think a thorough exam was done. Dr. Hui took 10 seconds to actually look at my nose. I had to keep asking questions in the hallway, because apparently my appointment was done. After voicing my concerns of taking a steroid product while trying to have a baby, Dr. Hui said “maybe you need to stop trying” I am very tired of doctors that want to give out medication & not look further into a problem. I do not recommend this doctor.

I have not seem her yet but heard a lot about her, what I don't understand is why do I have to wait a year to see her? Is she the only ENT doctor in Calgary? Oh come on!!!

Unbelievably patient, efficient, empathic, and so very knowledgeable! My visit was informative, timely and safe during the entirety of appointment. I have recommended Dr. Hui to many of my friends over the years and will continue to do so. Her calm energy is unmatchable!

Dr. Hui was easy to talk to and quick. We came to a solution immediately because she LISTENED to me. She will be doing my future surgery. Highly recommend!

Waited 4 years. Then she spent like 12 seconds with me with no answers, she didn’t even look at my case. I never met more useless doctor. I don’t believe she’s a doc. Receptionist is horrible as well. Calls you to book an appointment finding out there is nothing available, then telling you I missed my appointment …I never been told it was arranged. All mess. Don’t waste your time

My wife had an accident and broke her nose in Dec 2020, our first appointment with Dr Anita was in Jan 2021 and she explained that my wife's septum moved towards the right from top and said as per her expert advise it would be good to sand it off from the right side instead of trying to make it straight again and we went by her advise. The surgery happened in Nov 2022 (Almost 2 years after the accident) and WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I went to pick up my wife from hospital after surgery when she just woke up from general anesthesia, she told me that Dr Anita mumbled something when my wife was still under anesthesia and she doesn't remember a work of what doctor said. Nurse literally had no clue on any instructions on what to expect after surgery and doctor left no notes. No clue of any follow up appointment :( We then inquired and was told that a follow up appointment was booked for Jan 26, 2023. For 2 months my wife was in pain and her stiches started coming out (she had no clue and was not even told she had stiches on the inside of her nose). Anyways, her nose looked swollen up all the time. Today she came back from the appointment crying and I was really broken. She cried for hours and I regret our decision to trust Dr Anita. My wife was in love with her nose and Dr Anita was not able to sand down the septum to help with her breathing but instead opened up my wife's nose to make it look broader (WHAT THE F****) she changed her nose forever to look broader for no reason. Her lame reasoning was that it might help with breathing and will prevent sinus in her later age. My wife is still in trauma as to her loosing the real shape of her nose all together because of an incompetent surgeon. To top this up Dr Anita said she with give herself 80% marks on what she did, I wouldn't give her 5%. In fact all she did was made her nose broader (which we never agreed upon ) and did not help at all with breathing or cured the bump on right side which was the motive for this surgery. If you are reading this and scheduled to get a surgery with Dr Anita, you must reconsider it. I have attached a before and after pic of my wife's nose showing how Dr Anita screwed it up big time and her incompetence has changed someone's life all together.
