We purchased 3 bowls. We must have ordered on an off day but the tuna was terrible. My husband thought the tuna looked “off” when he started eating it and only took a couple of bites. He was sick with stomach cramps the entire night and still recovering. I called the restaurant to let them know so that they can pull the tuna that was used and the girl that answered the phone just said “thank you for letting us know”.

Food and service was good during the week, Went on the weekend and service and food kind of fell off the table.I was also told after ordering on the phone and going there that they don't except all amounts of Canadian currency.A bit of a hassle since that's all I brought.

I'm so glad I found this spot so close to home. I would usually go all the way to Waterloo for poke, and it's nice to see I have a way closer option now. Hungry ninja has a 10x better price. I got the ninja bomb with an extra scoop of tuna added on for 18.10 after taxes. My one gripe was I wish the pieces of fish were cut a little chunkier. This spot is definitely gonna be my new go to poke spot.

I highly recommend.The good:- Fair pricing. Very filling.- Very unique menu.- They support e-transfer too!- The staff is super approachable- Cozy at night.- Music isn't loud.- Best Japanese food option in Cambridge.What could be better:- The Salmon bowl is filling but could include more salmon.- Interior decor could use more work.

Hungry ninja is unique and different from regular asian restaurants. I like the idea for option of bowl or rolls.It's the 2nd time I tried it out and taste does not feel very appealing to me, almost like slight bitter hint and not that sushi flavor I was hoping for.This is a shrimp tempura bowl.

Good, fresh and tasty. My daughters favorite place by far. Selection is a bit limited. Prices unless on special are a bit too high. Nice presantation and great service.

The size of the bowl and the overall flavours could certainly be improved upon, but it was a nice surprise to see the variety of cuisine in Cambridge. Hope to see Hungry Ninja grow and thrive with more flavours in the future.

Possibly the worst meal ever. A ninja was a mercenary in feudal Japan. And like a true Ninja, this restaurant slaughtered this meal. The sashimi had bones in it. Not one piece but two. Bones! In sashimi! The roll was a soggy, gigantic log of wet ingredients rolled loosely together and looked like some kind of week old taco. And it came wrapped in wax paper like a Big Mac from 1977. I have no idea what the other reviews are about. Either the good people of Cambridge are incredibly forgiving, or sushi is not common enough to have anything even moderately acceptable to compare it to. If you’ve had good sushi, anywhere, ever, stay away from this place. Just horrible.

Eat here all the time. Food is always good quality and exactly what I ask for.I love how customizable everything is and I have enjoyed everything I’ve tried so far.Sushi seems to always be something that’s not as easy to get Cambridge compared to other cities, so this is great for when you’re craving it and don’t want to break the bank.
