John Shoe Repair

One of my Doc Marten’s was quite literally falling apart, he stitched it back together way faster than expected, for way cheaper than expected, and did an amazing job! Friendly guy as well, highly recommended!

I took my very expensive hand custom made VH carbon fibre hockey skates to John (if you are a hockey parent or player you’d understand why these were dear to me). It had a tear due to wear on the leather Luongo loop (high force enduring part where pads tie into skates).It was under warranty but I did not want to have the down time in the middle of my season to ship it to Winnipeg.John put a very professional patch stitched in by hand (through carbon fibre!) and after a year of hard playing three times per week, the repair looks exactly the same and the carbon fibre has withstood some wicked shots (including one from Al Irafrate!).John had given me a solemn face and apologetically said the repair would be a lot at $20, which I gladly paid because I was expecting much more. And in retrospect for the performance it was a great deal. I am very impressed!

My camera backpack was torn over the years with some rough use. John did a great work to put the shoulder strap back to its normal state. He fixed the zipper without asking to replace the whole set and cheers for keeping the original.Recommended for likely repairsThanks again

Fast excellent work and priced right!

I brought my snowboarding boots to this shop last week to get the sole re glued. John seemed like a friendly guy and told me he could get them repaired. He filled out his normal order intake form and agree the boots could be picked up on January 19th. Which was listed on the order sheet. We had discussed that timing was perfect as i needed them for a snowboarding lesson later that day on the 19th. When i arrived on the 19th the boots hadn't been touched. I received no communication that they wouldnt be done and am now unable to even get rentals due to having no notice and need to miss my several hundred dollar lesson. He offered no apology which was all i was at least looking for as this put me in a terrible position and blamed being busy for not communicating with his customer. He then refused to fix my boots altogether. Terrible customer service. I'm not normally one to write negative reviews but this customer service was the absolute worst.

Did a great job repairing my luggage!

Terrible service. Unfriendly. Unprofessional. Ruined my Blundstone boots. Shiney glue all over the soles. The insides of the top of the boots are somehow buckled and broken now so I can't even wear them. John has no idea what he's doing. I'm $118 in the hole. Not happy about it.

Horribly unprofessional shoe repair, glue all over the soles and bottom of shoes, jagged edges left as well, ruined the shoes
