I booked an appointment with Dr. Salem for a meet and greet. They were quite professional at the onset. A receptionist called me 90 minutes before my appointment time to confirm my appointment. I arrived 8 minutes early, filled out the paper work then waited for 45 minutes. When they brought me into the examination room, I waited another 20 or so minutes there. Dr. Salem did not apologize for running late and thought it was funny that I was sitting in the examination room for so long that the lights turned out and I was left waiting in the dark. Dr. Salem is a nice enough Dr. and is thorough. I called the clinic back this morning and asked if I will have to wait for an hour every time I come or was this a once off". They told me Dr. Salem had an earlier appointment that took 45 minutes. I told them that is fine and that I would have appreciated an apology and an explanation as my time is also valuable. If they generally respect appointment times I would be happy to return. The Family Care Clinic representative responded with "You are welcome to see a doctor elsewhere". I suppose that is a fair comment. Meaning

My NP there has been the best ever! I feel like I've won the lottery with her! She's absolutely fantastic! I 100% recommend this clinic!

This is the best place I have been for medical reasons. My family doctor Dion works in there and she is awesome. Everyone in there is very nice. I would definitely recommend this place to people looking for medical help.

I took my wife to this clinic after hours which is where her regular doctor works out of. My wife was suffering with chest pains and pain under her ribs. The charge nurse which would not provide his name (so the best way I can describe him is that he has bark hair about 6.1 180 pounds around 35 years old) checked her blood pressure which was high. He then asked her to take a seat and wait for the doctor. I noticed that 8 people after her went in before her. I then went up to the charge nurse to explain I was worried and concerned that my wife might be suffering from a heart attack. He was very rude and stated he has 3 degrees and I should not be questioning him. I wasn’t I was just very concerned for my wife. He then said I needed to leave and called security. I never even raised my voice. When security came we explained what happened and the security officer was very nice. The charge nurse would not give us his name so the security officer said he would get it for us. We waited for him to come back with the charge nurse name. When the security officer returned he apologized for the charge nurse conduct and said the charge nurse would not give his name to him either. My wife and I had to leave after waiting hours with her having chest pains. Thank god my wife is okay but what would have happened if it was a heart attack? We are now filing a complaint with the health minister. This conduct of the charge nurse is appalling and should not and will not be taken lightly. G. Hunt.

I see Crystal Jacobs here, I think she is actually a nurse practitioner but I could be wrong. I have always had a good experience with her. I have never waited long when my appointment is scheduled. I have some anxiety when it comes to health matters and she really listens to all the crazy symptoms I bombard her with and separates out what is the anxiety and what is the actual concern. It can be a couple weeks lead time to get in to see her but usually they can book you with one of the other doctors if need be. I have only done that once, he did not have great bedside manner but got the job done. If you call first thing in the morning the receptionists will try and slot you in if there was any cancellations. They can do blood work and x-rays there in the center, which is convenient. There is also councillors, dieticians ect.. who work in the center.

Ashley May was my PCP here for several years. Although she was very nice, unfortunately on multiple occasions she didn't take my concerns seriously. She'd try to convince me that I didn't need a referral, then begrudgingly agree to do it, but not ever actually send it. I had to call the clinic over and over for months begging to get the referrals sent. I suffered a lot waiting for care.

I have just been there to clean the wound of cat’s biting, the nurse whose name is PJ or CJ (I’m not sure if I pronounce it right) she did a really good job. She is the best nurse I have ever met. She is very kind and she takes care of the patients with all pf her heart. Highly recommended!

Ashley May is absolutely terrible at getting anything done. My girlfriends been suffering for 2 months now. Every time we call after the referral for a specialist she badly needs we get excuses after excuses.. I forgot, I've been sick, excuse, excuse, excuse, every weekly call for 8 weeks.. unprofessional doesn't begin to cover her callous disregard to someone in massive amounts of pain that only surgery can fix.. but what ever to her, she got paid what does she care.. I would strongly recommend that no one goes to her unless its for utterly routine stuff that doesn't require her to actually do her job

The older man doing Triage told me I couldn't wait for my wife in the waiting area and that I had to go wait out side because he needs the room for patients, but it was dead nodoby there !!!!!

Great staff, doctors and facility however getting through by phone during the day to schedule an app't is impossible.
