Kingsway School of Music - Private and Group Music Lessons

The Curic Family was a welcome addition to our neighbourhood! As an adult, my violin lessons began in Feb. 2017. Vedran has an excellent instructional approach with emphasis on encouragement, constructive comments and respect. The cost of Lessons are a good value and he is flexible about rescheduling. Vedran's lifetime of musical education and professional experience is evident, not only in his performances and orchestral arrangements, but in his patient and approachable teaching dynamics. Even though we needed to move our lessons to SKYPE during Covid, that didn't alter any quality or positive energy that Vedran exhibits. I am very happy with my progress and I couldn't imagine taking violin lessons from anyone else! I highly recommend Vedran!

Mimi and Vedran are the best team. Son took lessons with Mimi for about 6 years before we moved. Loved the Holiday and end of year strings concerts with all the other students. Vedran did all his own arrangements for pop songs which kept my son engaged in his lessons for a longer time. Highly recommend GTA Strings for their lessons.

Vedran is a great violin teacher. As someone who was an adult beginner I had my doubts about ever being able to play a song on the violin thinking that maybe it's too late to start playing such a complex instrument. Vedrans experience, enthusiasm and ability to break the music down into approachable tasks made it possible for me to learn and enjoy. I highly recommend violin lessons with GTA Strings, you wont regret it!

Such a wonderful music class for our little ones!! This class is so lovely, teacher is amazing with lots of neat and vibrant instruments for the babies to explore. The wooden marble tree is one of our favorites! The studio is bright, fresh and airy - super cute space. The musical experience was engaging, positive and very inviting. Also what a great way to meet other baby friends and their parents! We have an 8 month old and a two year old and we have had an awesome summer playing with our new friends at the Kingsway School of Music!

I have been taking violin lessons for 4 years at GTA Strings. The teachers are professionally trained musicians who have the expertise to specifically address your needs to help you improve if you have previously studied. They are knowledgeable to help beginners learn and have fun too. My grandson who is 6 is a beginner. They host two concerts each year so everyone gets a chance to perform.

I have been learning violin from Vedran since January 2017. My progress has been steady thanks to his teaching approach, and I would strongly recommend him to others wanting to learn this instrument. He is flexible about reschedule lessons and his prices are reasonable. His extensive experience is obvious in his teaching approach. He is positive and constructive giving feedback and receptive to questions. There is no one i would rather learn from. You will enjoy learning from him.

I absolutely recommend Kingsway School of Music. Owners are music professionals, hihly educated and dedicated to their students. I worked there as a piano teacher and was amazed how they were constantly improving their lessons and learning environment. I learnt a lot from them and I am sure that you will learn as well!

I've been having violin lessons with Vedran for more than a year and I have yet to find more efficient mentors than him. He takes my work schedule into account when planning the lessons and finds a way to keep the classes entertaining and challenging at the same time. While I don't plan on becoming a professional violinist or anything of the sort, actually seeing my own progress through each class helps keeping me motivated. I'm so glad I found this place!

After a life of playing piano and clarinet, I decided to start a new instrument and was on the lookout for teachers that offer lessons for adults. I was recommended to GTA strings by a friend who has been working with them for years. I am so glad I decided to go with GTA strings.Vedran and his wife are very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do and that translates into their teaching. They strike a lovely balance between traditional and fun. My first year learning I got to see how that teaching style translates into passionate and talented students of all ages at their yearly holiday concert.I always felt Vedran was invested in my study and my personal goals in learning, and would recommend them to anybody looking for lessons!

I have been taking violin lessons from Milica since I was 8 years old and she is such an amazing teacher! I love how she gives me the freedom to choose the pieces I play and encourages me to learn songs from a variety of genres. Milica was also super helpful in preparing me for my entrance audition to an arts high school to which I was accepted. I also LOVE the two annual recitals. They are great opportunities to practice performing both solo and with an orchestra and a great way to meet new friends.
