Excellent kennels and grooming. Our dog recently stayed at A1 Kennels for a week. On a daily basis the staff posted photos of the dogs playing outside, which was great as we could see he was enjoying himself. He also had a 'spaw' day and looked absolutely beautiful when we picked him up.

Best place in town to leave your pupper for the day or for a stay. My pup always comes home happy and well exercised. The staff is friendly and it's easy to tell that they pay detailed attention to each of the pupper's needs and traits.I so appreciate having peace of mind whenever I utilize their services.

This is a great place to bring the dogs when we're at work or go on vacation. We were very apprehensive of taking nibbler to any dog place as he is a small breed. After reading many reviews of other people with small dogs being injured at day cares (not here though). So we decided to try it out and we're not dissapointed. Nibbler and Miley are both small dogs and they love it here. They are always so excited when we arrive to drop them off. Really a better way to help burn off some energy for them, more than just going for a walk with us. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming too. The only down side would be that they close by 5. It makes it a little difficult for us to be able to grab them as we work 9-5 or out of the area. Other than that though, the 0730 drop off time is nice.

My boston terrier has been going here for almost 2 years and my newer adopted rescue for only a short few weeks .the staff are nothing short of amazing! My rescue was leash reactive toward other dogs and humans when we adopted her and I really didn't know if daycare would be an option but the staff were so patient and kind that after only a couple of visits she loves it there and no longer barks at other dogs or people . My boston loves it as well , they both come home happy and tired .I would give them 5 stars but unfortunately the hours of operation are not the most convenient if you work 9-5 as their drop off is 730am and their pick up is by 5pm .I'm hoping this changes in the future

amazing place for your dogs to be while on vacation! our boys went right to sleep when we picked them up and hardly moved the rest of the night. staff was amazing and very friendly. thanks for watching our pups!

My two poms stayed at the kennel in October 2022 for 8 days. When I picked them up Winston had dried feces stuck to his bottom, a lot of it. I had to cut it off and his bottom was raw and red. You could tell that it had been there awhile and that he had been scooching his bottom. When I called them to inquire why he was left like this I got no real answer or apologies. The person on the phone said she was the kennel manager,and when I asked to speak with the owner I was told my number would be past on. I never did get a follow up call. If you check the kennel staff bio's I found that half of them no longer work there nor had they bothered to update the website. Very unfortunate as I have used them a few times and been pleased with the service. I also learned that the kennel was under new management. I will never go back or recommend them

I had my two dogs groomed again today by Skylar. She always does an amazing job and my dogs love her so much!The ladies there are all so compassionate and professional and treat the animals as if they were their own.

My dog loves the daycare. It's not just a free for all. The staff are friendly and they love the dogs. The staff are interacting with the dogs all day and they get a day of fun activities.

A1 Boarding Kennels in Kelowna at 3755 Gordon Drive is NOT a safe place to take your pet.I brought my 10 month old puppy to A-1 Boarding Kennels, in less than 24 hours my puppy was attacked by another dog due to lack of supervision and sent to the Veterinary Clinic without anyone informing me of his injuries.The Veterinary Clinic had to reach out to inform me the best they could about my puppy’s injuries, the Kennels did not properly contact me or any of the 3 emergency contacts that had been left with them. To top it off, the Kennels did not inform the Veterinarian about how to injuries were obtained, which made the unexpected phone call about my hurt puppy much worse.Snoopy was attacked and had a piece of his ear bitten off. Although the injuries are not life threatening, he did need to be sedated and stitched up as the injury was too big to let heal on its own. Upon contact with A-1 Boarding Kennels I was given a dismissive “Sorry, we’re not liable for any injuries your dog receives during its stay here.”, and informed me they would not be covering any portion of vet bills from the attack during their supervision (or lack there of).I expected my dog to be safe and cared for during his time at A-1 Boarding Kennels here in Kelowna BC, but that was not the case. If you or anyone you know is looking for a safe and professional place to take your pets for boarding, do NOT take them there. Their negligent and irresponsible behaviour is what hurt my puppy.

My dog was crying after leaving the Kennel this time. That means that he was happy there. They always take a good care of my little love.I had a problem comming back from my trip so I called and asked for help because I couldn't pick him up on time so they where so kind and kept chester for another night with no doubt.
