First time visiting the haberman tiki bar. Have to say, Jay's place is a beacon of good times. Seriously, Wakaw's north star of fun. Jay cooks one helluva lamb roast. Hospitality out of this world. Would not reccomend to vegetarians, vegans or anyone who abstains from drinking.thank you for the good night!!- Andrew S.

Well, here we go again.... we didn’t think anything could top our 2018 experience (see previous review) but our 2020 experience was amazing to say the least!Of course, the food and beverage experience remains first class. Perhaps the most impressive aspect is the hosts ability to cater to all types of dietary needs. The parmesan, garlic, sea salt roasted cauliflower was only outdone by the homemade gluten free vegetarian lasagna! Meat eaters never fear, spit roasted pig and lamb are still Tiki bar specialties!There have been many amazing upgrades to the property since our last visit. There is a new RV area at the rear of the property. Affectionately referred to as “snob hill,” this area boats a lovely garden view with water glimpses. This area can accommodate both short and long term stays but booking well in advance is required, the long term spot is booked for the foreseeable future. Another welcome addition is the outdoor shower. A fully contained private shower with on demand hot water allows for a shower experience that feels like you are one with nature. Imagine looking up at the sky, trees, or stars as the case may be while enjoying a hot shower, amazing! A new rock path, two new beautiful grassy areas, an extended beach front, and an amazing new seating area that quickly transforms into a dance floor round out the fantastic property upgrades.The hosts have also gone to great lengths to enhance the day to day activity options depending on your desired holiday experience. Everything from an amazing massage from a certified RMT, to lounging on the beach, to wake surfing lessons from the hosts daughter (quickly becoming an expert in the sport) are all available options. The most popular experience by far however is a day on the newly acquired “FLR” or Floating Living Room. This luxury pontoon boat comes equipped with a fridge, grill, and yes, even a bathroom! Whether you are a sun worshiper or prefer a bit of shade, all options are available. Lake tours/wine cruises can be booked through the hosts but also occur spontaneously.Something that we never really considered when booking holidays, but probably should as we age, is the availability of medical care should it be required. Well, I’m happy to report that there is a small, but very well equipped hospital in the neighboring community of Rosthern. The doctors and nurses there are fantastic!In speaking with the hosts we learned of more upgrades and additional experiences planned for the coming seasons. The most exiting is the professional outdoor kitchen and the introduction of “you cook for us night!” That’s right! This is your chance to show off your culinary skills. Simply provide the hosts with a list of ingredients and supplies! You’d better bring your A game and prepare to be flexible though. Supper time at the tiki bar can change from a quiet dinner for four to a raucous feeding for 20 with very short notice!Once again the Haberman’s have outdone themselves. I like to believe that good people find good people and that is certainly evidenced with this crew! We are, of course, booked through 2022.
