Great local grocer, custom butcher shop, great customer service and lots of local products, especially in the summer.

Very helpful and have a great COVID safe system going. Good precautions and a wide selection of needs (from cleaning to fresh produce/meats/baked goods).I tried a mini frozen cheese cake (chocolate hazelnut, made fresh from a baker in Kingston). Was delicious, very decadent.Very pleased from my visit. I’m under the impression the meat area (for salamis etc) is popular.

Absolutely love this store. The staff and friendly and helpful with their products. The meat counter us always loaded with fresh and flavorful options. The man working there is always willing to assist in my selection.

A lovely little gem. Best gluten free bread in the city. Great produce. Most staff are super lovely...but there are a couple of people who work the cash who can be pretty curt for no discernable reason. Only complaint!

Solid little grocery store, located not too far from Queens main campus, and really close to St. Mary's hospital. Fairly good selection of grocery items, and a deli section with plenty of meats to choose from as well as homemade sandwiches available daily. Decent prices as well. Worth stopping in if you are nearby, or want to grab something for lunch

Bearance’s in Kingston, Ontario is the what all local grocery stores should be. It is friendly. Compact. Well laid out. It provides real cheerful and helpful service. You don’t get sent to isle 16–because there is none!Staff serves you.Their butcher counter is small but well stocked. Don’t immediately see it, well ask for it. They will make it up fresh for you. And tell you how to prepare it if you ask. They have great recommendations.Their in-house prepared bbq skewers are excellent. Burgers are prepared fresh and the perfect balance of right thickness of meat and fat which translates into great barbecuing results. They have fresh choices in seasonal produce as well. All in all it is always nice to shop here. And they make great fresh deli sandwiches to go.Bearance’s is a true asset to the neighborhood.

Went there today and got followed around the store the whole time by what I assume to be the owner. Constantly watching to see if I would steal is what it seemed like, thanks for the judgment. Picked up cinnamon buns and a pop and that's the last of my money they will receive.

This little grocery store has everything I need and more. The staff are friendly, they have a good selection of food both local and otherwise, and they have a fantastic butcher shop. I've never written a review before but I felt the need to for this store, because it is genuinely one of the best parts about living in the area.

This is one of the best little gems in Kingston. It’s known for its exceptional meats (butcher) which I can agree whole heartedly. It’s not just the meat … we had the best fresh salmon and perch I’ve ever had there too! While I went for the butcher shop, I was really excited to see it is really a fully stocked grocery store equipped with everything I could ever need.I happily never have to go to the big box stores again.The staff is also very welcoming and helpful!Thanks for making my trips to the market more joyful!

This is the best grocery ever! They have everything you need - plus special extras....and you won't buy a ton of extras you don't need like at the big box groceries. And Dave the butcher will prepare and also cook for you! He's done our turkey, baked ham, stuffed pork roast, etc. I love going there - I am a real person, not a number. The staff are all so nice and friendly. They know who you are! Michael, et al, have done an incredible job making groceries a personal and enjoyable experience. Thanks! I can't imagine my life without you! ps and you will find hand-picked local apples, local strawberries, local wild blueberries - when in season. Enjoy! Life's too short to waste time shopping, unless it's a pleasant social experience!
