Walmart Parking Lot
I was there a 6:45 am, before the store opened at 7. Lots of parking ar the end where the riding carts were for handicapped. Big line up at the food end, waiting for the doors to open. Toilet tissue was in short supply, but by the time I made it to that isle in the riding cart, most of the line-up had been there, and were headed for the cashier. Unlike many other stores who have set aside an early time for vulnerable and seniors, Walmart had not. Everyone was in there. As well, I was in a very long lineup to check out, because there was ONLY ONE cashier at a checkout, and, of course, everyone was urged to use the self-checkout. One gentleman who was also in that long lineup, pointed out that in the Walmart in Wallaceburg, at the same time of day, every cashier station was serviced. I can only think that the Wallaceburg store manager is putting customer service at the forefront, whereas the Sarnia manager, is less interested in customer service and promoting the self-checkout ahead of what the people need. Draw your own conclusions. Next time, I'm headed for Wallaceburg, where I'm a valued customer.
