This restaurant is special to me because I used to come here all the time with my friends in high school before we could drive. At the time it was one of the only Korean restaurants close enough to a C train station. I've never tried their AYCE/bbq but I've always loved ordering from the regular menu. My go to dish is the Jajangmyun (black bean noodles)--no one makes it quite like Insadong does. The jajangmyun from here specifically is a comfort food for me. I do also like the gamjatang! It can get busy here and sometimes they're short staffed so the servers take a while to get to your table. It's not always this way and I can appreciate the ebb and flow of staffing in the restaurant industry so I'm going to keep this as 5 stars.Thanks for all the great memories.

Servers are really slow. The food was great and all but waiting two hours was not. We had waiters come back to back every now and then, ask us how we were- when we told them we were waiting for food, theyd nod and turn away, only to not return. A specific waitress kept coming back and had a tone, somewhat accusing (in my opinion) us of not asking waiters and not being patient. She also accused us of lying about ordering. Unimpressed.

Went here with 2 of my friends for lunch. The person who got us our tables was extremely friendly and kept in touch throughout our lunch to find out how we were doing. I don't know her name but she was wearing these stylish earrings. Thank you so much for everything. 11/10 for the food and the service!

As someone who spent a few months in Seoul and is really fond of Korean Cuisine, I can confidently say that this is as close as you can get to authentic Korean food while staying in Calgary. I have tried their Veggie Bibimbap and Tteokbokki so far and both were delicious.

Very impressed on my recent visit here. Service is now faster than before! You won't have to wait too long any longer! More servers have been hired and let me tell you something, I've never had a long chat with a server until today! They always check up on you compared before and are very nice and sociable.One thing that caught my attention is their refills for your beverages are free now. Definitely an upgrade since my last visit.The cooks are a lot more generous about the amount of orders we are ordering. It's like everything is upgraded besides the place and atmosphere.Food quality is still good while parking can still be good or bad depending on the time.Overall, the best visit I've ever had in this restaurant EVER. Went from 3 stars to 5 in a matter of seconds just by fixing the biggest problem in this restaurant which is wait time. This is not a restaurant you want to miss out!

Been coming here for years and the customer service has improved greatly recently. The manager, Hala, provided excellent service to us and we even chatted for a while at the end of our meal. Prices have gone up a but still well worth the visit

Tried the jajangmyun and bulgogi soup. I like how the jajangmyun was not too salty but still very flavorful. The bulgogi soup was flavorful, sweet, and had plenty of meat. The soup was my favorite of the two. I also like how the food is very affordable and the staff is friendly here

My girlfriend and I come here weekly as a comfort spot. We get their bento boxes and soft tofu stew which always feels very homemade, like grandma makes it! Their kimchi is consistent and sour, we always order extra. Patrick and the kitchen staff are always so nice to us and check up on us when they can.
