After 35 plus years of purchasing countless snowmobiles, ATV’s, boats, motors, generators, power equipment and parts its a shame I am writing this review. The last four times in for service the unit(s) could not be diagnosed and each time the blame was on customer error or misuse even though it clearly states in owners manual that it was proper procedure. Not to mention two other identical units work just fine and are currently working today with no problems. After paying initial invoice upon picking up unit it was completely covered in mud when it went in spotless and I was told this is “normal”. I had to take unit back as mechanic damaged new parts installed and once parts were replaced again still had the original problem. Spoke with owner and they were supposed to get right back to me but nothing for a month. Followed up and I was “completely forgotten” about.Forgotten about, covered in dirt, damaged new parts and paid bill with original problem still existing after close to a year of this makes it easy taking my business elsewhere.Don’t think for a minute 35 plus years of business will get you any bonus points at this place.

DONT BUY FROM NICKEL CITY, THEIR SERVICE IS AWFUL! Has to be the worst service I have ever had in my life! They lied to me, cheated me on parts and told me the Skidoo I was buying needed zero work. So I get the machine and found out it barely idled, it needed new front shocks, needed a new voltage regulator, the list goes on... But I dealt with a sales rep with the first letter of his name being W, and he assured me the snowmachine was turn key, and needed nothing but a new panel, unbelievable! Moral of the story is all ways do your research before buying a unit from unreputable dealership like Nickel City Motors, because they cant remember a conversation you just had with them and they accuse you of lying! IM DEFINITELY NEVER GOING TO GIVE THEM A SINGLE CENT FROM HERE ON OUT! PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE BUYING FROM THEM, IT MAY SAVE YOU A TREMENDOUS HEADACHE AND SAVE YOU THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!

Thank goodness for Nickel City Motors (NCM). Living up in Nunavut (Kivalliq Region) you do not have many options up here. I did not want to buy from the main store up here as they do not have the same knowledge and service as NCM. The machine came a week after I sent payment (super quick!), fully serviced, ready to go. They also helped me out with OEM oil filters as the stores here only sell aftermarket.The entire experience with NCM from start to finish was great and I would use them again for any purchase in future. Highly recommend you use these guys over the other store in the North.
