Appraisal Experience - AWFUL!! Do not use! We had an older gentleman come to our home. Extremely old looked to be in his 70's or older. He could barely walk and take off his shoes. (I don't remember his name so describing him). He appraised 2 of my properties over $200k below market value in a 1 week period). My neighbor sold their home, same floor plan about 30 days ago and we were appraised $200k less! The homes are comparable with upgrades and finishes. Our home actually has more.Our backyard was covered with snow so I asked him if he wanted to see photo's of what the yard actually looks like he said no. Gave him a tour of the home. He then came a week later to another home and again more than 200k under market value.. We do not have a choice with appraiser otherwise this would have ever happened.The addresses we were compared against were homes that are not even comparable... A house the exact same model sold and this home was skipped for the comparable?????We had our home appraised in the same day for 2 different banks (one being this company) and this company came in lower. Over $200 lower than the the other appraiser. Michael, If you want to check our file the house numbers were 95 and 64. One appraisal was this past Monday (Jan 31, 2022)I am extremely upset with the individual that came and the outcome of this result. Needless to say we have ordered a new appraisal from a different company.If this company comes to appraise, refuse and tell your broker you want a different company.If this is how they appraise.. Is this how they will price your home for sale as the selling agent?? $200k below list and then tell you its a great deal???Sorry to leave such a bad review. But, as an investor this is a hugely important aspect of the process.Extremely disappointed. - SR

As a realtor and mortgage broker I value good work and thorough reports. Parkwood Appraisals are timely, accurate and well written reports. As a NAS member their appraisals are widely accepted. They are my go to choice, along with a few others - of appraisal providers.
