Had an awesome dinner here with a few friends. Vibes are great and then menu is simple and really fun (literally the virtual menu is a treat). Food was amazing and the drinks were great as well. Definitely don’t skip the crispy cabbage!Only drawback was that service seemed a bit off. We made a reservation online, but they didn’t seem to be aware, just hurried us into a table as someone else left. Then our one server disappeared and we were left for a long time, and eventually had to ask for our next round. All the servers were super nice and helpful when we could chess them, though! Would definitely go back!

Good food, it's just the servings are small. Amazing place, amazing vibe, amazing music playing inside. Good place if you're in Toronto late at night and you want a place to hang out with friends. There's a vibey retro television there with a camera recording stuff and a gaming console you can try while waiting, but the text is all in Japanese and the food arrives really fast anyways. We had the buta don (a bit smokey), the yakiniku don (a bit on the sweeter side) and some chicken karaage and potato salad. They were all scrumptious and we were left wanting for more.Will come back to try some drinks maybe!

A small intimate space that is decked out with retro video games, art and anime. Always busy with locals popping in for yakitori and sake. Food wise, the yakitori was smokey and flavoursome but not delicate. Highly rated items were a miss in my opinion and our standout was thr takoyaki.

Wow! This was an incredible experience. Incredible authentic 1993-1996 Japanese restaurant! Their is very interesting old posters and electronics that make it a very fun atmosphere. The food is tapas-style with incredible unique styles on famous dishes for example we had torched sushi which had a nice Smokey flavour. We also had the cucumber salad, sashimi, fried chicken, pork belly, cabbage and the roe. The roe was kind of a miss but every single other thing was incredible with umami, sweet, salty and spicy flavours in perfect proportion. Service was top notch and the prices as of 2023-04-26 were very reasonable.

great corner spot! dimly lit, lots of bar seating, small menu with classic japanese pub grub, great service, fun decor (lots of vintage japanese products) and a great sake selection! definitely a younger crowd but good for families too. highly recommend their octopus balls, they make them fresh (you can watch at the bar!). i previously wasn’t sucha fan of octopus balls but theirs made me LOVE them

This place has a great vibe and atmosphere and the food was also tasty. It felt very authentic and the owner was very friendly and nice as well as the waitress. Will definitely be stopping by during my bike rides :)

Really great experience having a birthday dinner here. This Pear Sake was some of the best I’ve had. Birthday wise they went above and beyond providing a little dessert & card on the house. All the food was excellent, I only removed a star because it was expensive for the size of the dishes. All were very good though!

I've lost track of the number of times I've gone here. It's our go-to local spot. The food is always consistently delicious. Our go-to dishes are the spicy karaage (my partner can polish off at least two of these plates himself lol), salmon oshizushi, crispy cabbage and shishito peppers. They recently added new items like onigiri (both mentaiko & umeboshi are so fresh!) and nori fries (so tasty!). The service is so warm, personable and friendly. The atmosphere is also really fun and I like the personal touches and attention to detail like the photos on the wall, old school tv, and handwritten menu on the wall.

I absolutely loved dining here. The food was amazing, the restaurant was so nicely decorated, the service was amazing! I recommend booking a reservation because it gets really busy!Pork belly don and salmon sushi was my favourite!

Great ambiance, just like any other izakaya in Toronto but with better and affordable prices. Would come back but probably need a reservation as most tables had already been reserved when we came in at open.
