Hospice Care Ottawa, May Court Hospice

My wife Linda was at the Hospice for two weeks. That staff and volunteers were very compassionate about helping Linda being comfortable,just like home.Amazing place .Thank you so much.Jack

My younger brother Derek spent 2 weeks at the May Court Hospice before he passed. The care he received was amazing! I cannot say enough about the warm and caring staff. From the nurses, administration and generous volunteers, it was truly a warming and caring experience. I know he felt well cared for. His room was peaceful and quiet, with a lovely view of the beautiful gardens. I highly recommend May Court hospice. Family like atmosphere ❤❤❤❤❤Thank you everyone.Linda Belanger

Incredibly welcoming and comforting staff, volunteers, PSWs and nurses. My grandfather was blessed to be so spoiled in his care as he spent his last few weeks at Maycourt. This place is remarkable and I recommend it to anyone who (unfortunately) finds themselves with a family member needing this kind of care ♡, both for your loved one and for all members of the family too with their counseling services aswell. ♡

I cannot overstate the warmth, compassion and professionalism of the entire staff at May Court Hospice. My mother spent her final days there and I can confidently say there was no better place for her comfort and care. Not only did the incredible staff (whom we referred to as angels) take amazing care of my mother, they also took care of my family that was visiting. They made sure we were informed every step of the way and even encouraged us to spend the night with Mom.Thank you to Dr. Vincent and every nurse and volunteer that make May Court Hospice such an incredible place.

May Court's goals are to provide compassionate and family centered hospice palliative care." That's probably the case if you follow their protocol to the letter and if your relative is in pain and dying of cancer. Otherwise

My grandmother stayed here for about a week and a half, and it was a huge help to have the hospice staff take care of her so that our family could just stay with her as family instead of caretakers. The staff were all very nice and accommodating even with all of the extra rules in place due to the pandemic. The entire place is very clean, relatively quiet, has a beautiful atmosphere with art and a great peaceful garden to spend time in when you need a break. There is also a kitchen with basic necessities provided for free - in fact, the entire service and room is provided for free thanks to a combination of government and donation funding. I definitely hope to help donate in the future when I am able to. Only minor complaints were that the bathrooms are located awkwardly (one in the kitchen, one in an open hallway), and our grandmother's room had a window facing a neighbouring home, although neither of these were a big deal (we had curtains) and they cannot really change those aspects.

My Mom passed away at May Court Hospice Care and the support was incredible. The Compassionate staff and volunteers were not there only for my mom but whole family while she was there sick and after. I am running out of words to describe this place. It's a great place with great environment.I will always be very thankful for their support and kindness.Keep up the great work guys, May God bless.

Great staff, clean location, parking available on site (please carpool when possible - 1 carpark per resident room before needing to head to the overflow lot on site), great COVID protocols in place.Both staff and volunteers left us with nothing but great impression over and over again. Outdoor garden available for guests. Pet friendly (my pet is friendly: quiet, cuddly, 40kg, fluffy). Even my pet was well treated by their staff (permanent and volunteers alike).During COVID, residents have a limited sanctioned visitor list, referred amicably as VIP.With regards to the care provided for their residents, we received only positive feedback from our loved one. A few disgruntled comments from our loved one that we acknowledged, assessed, investigated, only reinforced our ongoing trust in this stellar establishment. As a VIP, my pet was allowed wherever I was allowed.We witnessed first hand an above and beyond bedside manner on many occasions; a care level we could only dream of for our loved one, let alone for thy.

February 18, 2019 , my sister passed away while at May Court hospice and I cannot believe the incredible care and compassion shown not only to my sister, but the kindest support to myself and family. Dr. Vincent and the nursing staff, support workers and the volunteers could not have been more attentive to my sister's and families needs. Incredible place and I will forever be grateful to them during this most difficult time if our lives.
