Piano Piano Restaurant
Great place for a delicious lunch in the heart of downtown Toronto and just steps from the University of Toronto. The food is authentically Italian and the menu is very interesting too. You will be surprised by the capacity on the two seating levels. The staff seems very excited to serve you and that makes a big difference in how you enjoy the experience. The lunch special was a great way to celebrate today and we enjoyed the variety of options available. Would definitely recommend this place and visit again soon.

I decided to finally try this restaurant out after seeing all the hype about it online. I made reservations in advance and the restaurant was pretty busy. Immediately upon entering you will notice the dark, romantic mood created by the ambiance. Tables are candle-lit and the menus resemble newspapers which is always fun.I had the Fun Guy pizza which was pretty good although too greasy for my liking. The silver cutter was a nice touch, emblematic of the establishment.I also tried the Canestri alla Vodka, which if you are anywhere online, you would know is a popular choice. This dish was quite great — make sure to ask to remove the meat if you are vegetarian, like I did. I do wish it were more spicy though, but the flavours were good.My last dish was the Eggplant Fritti, which in my opinion, was the best and most underrated dish on the menu. I still have dreams about the whipped ricotta and artichokes accompanying the crispy eggplant pieces.Finally, I closed my meal off with the Nutella Tiramisu. This is definitely overhyped. As someone who has tried countless tiramisus all over the world, I was not impressed by Piano Piano’s rendition whatsoever. The Nutella taste was absent and the entire thing was pitiful.Overall, the ambiance and service, as well as flavourful food (minus the tiramisu) make this restaurant a lovely choice for an evening out.pros:- ambiance- food- servicecons:- nutella tiramisu4.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

An absolutely fabulous place. This is probably our favorite place to walk into in Toronto. The lunch special is unbelievable with a great selection of food and apps. Service was fantastic and the decor/ambience works into this place’s charm. Piano Piano puts some NYC places to shame with the quality of its dishes.

The restaurant is very pretty with great ambiance. Very nice place for taking pictures. Cocktails look cute but don’t taste fantastic but still okay for a hangout with friends. Pastas are okay, probably not the best pasta you’ve ever eaten but a pretty good one that you can enjoy. The mushroom pizza is okay too. The fries was really good. Overall go for ambiance and taking cute pictures with friends. The food and drinks are enjoyable and above average too.

This place is a must-visit!! The service and ambience are excellent and the food is so so good.Their pizzas are cooked to perfection and the size is enough for 2 people to share. We had the fun guy pizza and the hornet pizza and I definitely recommend both. Get the ranch dipping sauce, it's flavourful and superior than your average dipping sauces. We did an anniversary dinner there, and it was extremely kind of them to give us some complementary bubbly! Very thoughtful ❣️

I went here for my birthday with my family. Lovely setting, great kids menu and the ambiance was a little dressed up casual. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The pizzas (fun Guy) was really nicely done..The only issue we had is the mussels were a little bit funky in taste/smell, which was quickly addressed by the staff. We appreciated that but we're surprised at the miss on quality. Nonetheless, this is a place I want to return to at some point.

Piano Piano bottom line is delicious. Each space is a little different but you definitely know you are in a Victor Barry restaurant. The place practically hums with great vibes and happy customers. It’s always busy so definitely make a reservation.I have never had anything but great a service from meet and greet to the table.Now onto the food. It’s superb. For such a busy spot I have yet to have anything but consistent eats.Must haves for me are definitely the prosciutto plate with grapes and parm, egg yolk ravioli can’t be taken off the menu, the bee sting pizza and calamari and artichokes just to name a few.If I was going to make a suggestion, and I feel this is a must….please change the sharing oval lipped dishes to a plate that can hold some food!These are simply annoying.That mini rave over. Plates, dishes, it’s delicious !

This is a great spot to eat! The staff was amazing and our server was excellent. We ordered a pizza to share, the ravioli and sea bass. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was nice. I'd highly recommend this restaurant.

Piano Piano Restaurant
Piano Piano is a wonderful Italian restaurant. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by great smelling food and a friendly face. The seats are comfortable, and the menu is artistic and cleverly done.After ordering food and drinks, it only took about 5-10 minutes for the food to arrive. It was delicious and felt like a grandmother's cooking. Everything was just right from the ambiance to the wait staff.I highly recommend Piano Piano as a soft, warm, home style Italian restaurant.
