Our server, Shawna, was the sweetest! Even when a pigeon crapped on our table, we laughed hysterically and had the best time!This was my 2nd time at this adorable diner and I will return each time I'm in the city.

I really want to love Mary’s. I’ve been a fan for long time. Even the old place I had a fond spot for.Last visit we had the crispy chicken burger which was pronounced solid and tasty. My Benny on the other hand had the oddest hollandaise ever.The eggs weren’t drained well and the English muffin lacked love. Needed to be grilled and warmed through. So with the addition of the wet egg. You get the idea.Staff are charming and helpful.

Great tasting food! We got the Mary's Burger with onion rings and garlic dip and the LGBT sandwich with tomato soup (VERY good). Service was good and staff were friendly. Atmosphere was generally good, very lovely inside the diner and street atmosphere was overall energetic.Some people were sitting in the street and yelling at people but other than that, the atmosphere was fun, especially once the colored street lights came on after dark.Food was a bit pricey but great taste.

Stopped in for brunch on recent visit to Vancouver. The service was excellent. I had the Eggs Benedict which was quite good, although the egg whites were runnier than I would have liked. The waiter had confirmed I was good with soft poached eggs, which I normally am, but soft egg whites are not the same as runny egg whites.Re atmosphere, it was a beautiful day so I sat on patio with nice view of the Jim Deva Plaza. Oddly though there was at least 3 different sources of music. I doubt the restaurant has control over what neighbours or guests of the plaza are playing, but it definitely detracted from my enjoyment of my brunch.

Fantastic diner food, I had a poutine scramble with pulled pork that was amazing. Just a tad on the pricey side for your typical diner, but worth the price. We walked in and they had to move a few tables together for our party of 5, but were quickly accommodating. Large portions for what you're paying as well, again making it worth it.

Max and Leo have been amazing servers every time I have been here. Which I've been coming here for an odd 20 years and it's always been an enjoyable experience. The food is the same as any old place in general, but the inviting atmosphere makes it taste all that much better. Mind you I like diner food. It's a clean place it's kept up to good standards, I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Mary's visually, is just so inviting. The staff was quick and attentive, especially for a Saturday morning rush time. I like the modern diner vibe that they've decorated this place as. When we came, we were seated right away but the place was really full. I'm definitely going to come back to try some other items on their menu, but the burger I ordered was tasty and I was happy I could order them with a side of tater-tots!

The food was okay, but I wouldn't say great. A bit pricey for the quality. The atmosphere is really cute and is what drew us in to begin with. The service wasn't spectacular, our waiter came off as cold and a bit rude. They didn't really give off a very welcoming energy, and I felt like an inconvenience. It was kind of a disappointing experience. It's also very small, and feels quite crowded.

Ordered the pulled pork benny, and confused the server with the options to replace the hashbrowns on the ham & cheese omelet, so I got the regular benny...The house-made hollandaise is perfect, exactly as its supposed to be: lemony, lightly buttery, in a soft emulsion. Kudos, this is surprisingly rare.Also, without asking, the eggs were perfectly soft-poached as all bennies should be (if you want it otherwise, it's on you to order something other than the standard)...My companion enjoyed the extra-egg omelet and the multigrain toast, and reported the coffee as strong and good.It's a cute little room, much like a classic diner, with a lot of flamingos and a cheerful staff. Proudly LGBTQ2S+ friendly, which is lovely (and not at all surprising this far into Vancouver's West End...)
